Any interest in contributing to a Holiday fireplace video this year?
Here's what we did last year - we had seven artists singing around the mantle.
I'd be glad to tack 'em all together and provide a download link for the mp4 ;D ;D

I'm interested but I don't know if I'll manage to get a song ready in time.

Yeah time goes by pretty quick.
I think the best approach would be to just add to last year's video - maybe we can get it up to an hour or so... ;D ;D

this is all I have at the moment :) Let me know if you want to use it, and what you'll need if you do :)

I say, go ahead and set a due date, Paulski. I figure you'll get at least a couple participants. And I imagine you'll want it done at least a week before Christmas, and you'll need a little time to add what you get to the existing video. I'm going to try to come up with something but, unless someone with production skills wants to collab with me, it'll be a very simple 1+1.

Hi Suzy - I remember that one - I think it would be great for the video!
You will need to do this:
- send me a PM with a link to the wav file saying that it is OK to use in the video. You can make a private track on SC or attach it to an email - think you have my email addy.
So we now have two (I've got one to add ;D), so this project is a go! ;D ;D
Deadline is - sometime before christmas. ;D ;D

Well...I was noodling about last night and I dug up a midi file of this old chestnut...so I started thinking about the meaning of Christmas...and of families being re-united, etc...and before I knew it...I'd descended into something entirely predictable. I added a drum loop and a bass-synth patch along with a pad and chopped up some narration wavs from a text file I typed up. Oh, and the obligatory sleigh bell.
I doubt you'd want to include it...and I'm not even sure I'd want it included...it isn't meant to upset or offend anyone, though it possibly will. I hope not, though. And I wish everybody, everywhere a really lovely Christmas.

The voices are from the narrator facility on my Mac...Daniel (god) and Oliver (jesus)
It’s funny how they read some lines really well and other lines sound ridiculous :)

I'm not religious so maybe not the best judge but I think it would be splendid in the fireplace video.
I'm hoping Vicky will weigh in for a second opinion. ;D ;D
We would have to bleep out "bastards" as it is a family video that's all IMHO.
