Title: Like a stone on the road
Post by: moraamarolaloba on November 26, 2017, 01:27:10 PM
Life and Time walk together carrying us inside... And when we realize our insignificance... It is the perfect moment to laugh....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4FDoBeg_sLM (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4FDoBeg_sLM)

Sometimes when I look back
I realize that Time
is an instant after another,
it just happens,
moving you away,
like that foot that on the road
kicks away the stones,

and thus launched
I fly in a mirror fragment
in the space of my dreams

surrounded by that music
that one sings to ward off fear,
to push away the black
and to remain.

Hi Mora.

Very, very cool. I think this is my favourite song of yours so far. It's really hypnotic, and that ambient dance rythm just holds it all together really well. The video is really cool too. Lyrics really well put together, great poetry again.

I think there is great artistry on show here. Enjoyed immensely. Cheers Micky.

Hi Mora,

This is a great track. Really liked it. You cant go wrong with a dopebeat and a heavy bassline.

sounds a little Trip Hop. Portishead style.

Very cool video too.

Nicely produced, some great sounding samples/synths/loops or whatever you used.

For me this is one of those songs that leaves something to the imagination and forces you to think. Some nice effects in the video and I think this added to the experience.

I could tell you enjoyed making this one.

Well done.

More great production, vocals and poetry. I got the portishead (but a shade darker) vibe too. Very cool and I really liked the understated echo/reverb guitar that came in and out. Video was brill. You’re a clever cookie :) Cx

Hi Mora

Great soundscape.  There are lots of interesting musical additions to hold our attention throughout.  Fine lyrics that I would like to see developed further.  There is certainly space for more to really engage the listener with your story.  Production sounds very good.

Well done

Paul

Many thanks, you are very kind. Portishead style...? Surely, I am unable to apply a style to my songs...
See you soon. Mora

Hola Pacho, thank you for commenting. Autotuned? No, I mixed my voice with chorus at the end. Be well. Mora

Hi Yodasdad, many thanks. You always say wonderful things on my work. I call my songs "Songs of Thought" in the playlist I did on my channel. I enjoyed a lot making the vid too, I like to become a clown.
Be well. Mora

Hey this is great! really trippy!

super cool song actually...only note i would have would be that the drums need a bit more clarity with the bass/low frequency elements, perhaps a more prominent side chain?

other than that really great work!! ;) love the lyrics and overall vibe

Be excited to hear more from you! keep em comin'!

Hi, many thanks for your comment. Yes, I think the drums could be better, I have changed my earphones today to reach a better mix. Be well and good chance with your music too. Mora

I love this track!
I love your voice and the production is fantastic. Reminds me a lot of the stuff that David Bowie was doing toward the very end of his career/life. I dig it a lot. No nits. Nice work!

Seriously cool. Loved the video. Everything works so well together, the beat, your voice and lyrics, and the images. Fantastic and beautiful.

Yeah...this one stopped me in my tracks...I thought it was really brilliant. I don’t know how long you’ve been doing this, but the whole thing had the feel of someone who’s pretty much on top of their game.

Very impressive  :)

Eartha Kitt is alive and well and living on the forum!

Very imaginative use of synthesisers. I like songs that don't follow the usual route and that tickle your ears if you know what I mean. I liked this very much - mysterious, deep and enigmatic. I too think that you could have explored the idea a little more but it's great as it is.

Me he quedado muerta! I watched a vid of Eartha... she is wonderful, really, different and powerful. Many thanks, I am honoured by your comment but I think she has a very defined style and I have to find me yet, meanwhile I drink from a lot of styles  that I discover I have inside. Hasta pronto, Mora

Great moody piece - well done.
Like the low vocals and the trippy hippy beats.
There's got to be a market for this in film or sth.
It needs to be heard  ;D ;D

Listened yesterday and was immediately taken in but too tired to comment.

Lovely feel to it...cool groove. Yes, trippy hoppy but reminded me also of those 80s things by Grace Jones and Marianne Faithful came into my head too. I'm not a great video watcher so didn't really notice...sorry!

Great groove. Supercool! Thanks for that!
