Just started trying out some new stuff after a long break.
I really need someone to put music to this, I think it would probably suit a country and western style.
Not sure if it needs more verses and maybe a bit more refinement.
Real Housewives
Verse 1
I was married to a down home girl
We were happy everything was a whirl
But one day she found a tv show
LA folks who had a lot of dough
Rich women who had money to burn
The kinda cash she knew that I'd never earn
Verse 2
No longer happy just being a wife
She started looking for a champagne life
Hung out at places she might meet
A rich guy to sweep her off her feet
The sorta guy who only had to possess
Enough cash to bring her happiness
Chorus
Fine wines and caviar
Pretty soon she'll be a tv star
Dripping bling diamond rings
Sugar daddy gives her everything.
Verse 3
Merc shimmers in the midday sun
Checks in the mirror her mascara hasn't run
Split skirt reveals a sun tanned thigh
Shades shield her from the L.A sky
Black olives speared on cocktail sticks
Sips vodka through her plump red lips
Verse 4
Rich freinds arrive in limousines
To start rehearsals for the opening scenes
Drinks flow cameras ready to go
Another series of the tv show
No need to worry who's payin the bills
When you're a real house wife of Beverly Hills
Chorus
Fine wines and caviar
Pretty soon she'll be a tv star
Dripping bling diamond rings
Sugar daddy gives her everything.

Realy good one!
It definitely rings Country style in my head.
I was expecting some "lesson learned" message in it :).

Thanks for the nice comments.
Lesson learned verse coming soon!!

The title caught my eye. And some good lines and pictures painted.
I'd like to have a go at putting it music if you're interested. Please just send me a pm.

Hi Neil
That would be brilliant not sure how I send a pm through this forum, could you enlighten me?
-
Ok Neil I've figured it out now. I'll fire one off in a minute.

Good stuff, I can hear a pumping country melody. Like Neil I saw the title and thought, I wonder what that's about, and I had sufficient curiosity to read the lyrics.
I don't think it needs more words, and in my experience, lyric refinement often happens as I move from reading and writing to actually singing the words.

Thanks Bill, yes, spot on with the comment about refining the lyrics.

Howdy,
I agree with the guys that posted before me, a fine write. I like in particular verse 3.
No need to add anything more, i think we all know the "Lesson learned".
Good comeback
Keep banging them out
