Title: When the phone screams
Post by: moraamarolaloba on November 07, 2017, 12:58:59 PM
Hi verybody!

This song is born from a very delicate family situation, a death announced for more than 2 years that keeps me in suspense, between light and shadows, pain and hope, and I say this so that you can understand the meaning of my song, nothing else.

The guitar is wonderfully played by Marcus Nalgaber.

Almost all my latest songs are born from this pain against which I fight with my music.

When the phone screams

While the night walks along the wall,
along the wall,
and the moon puts
a silver hat
over the town,

and the phone screams
breaking the silence,
along the wall,
making my life to fit
in just one second,
along the wall

I look at the moments
when you looked so young
that you were Spring

I look at the moments
when you looked so young
that you were spring

And the phone screams
and I say hello
to the feared goodbye
that will tell me a voice

And the phone screams
and I say hello
to the feared goodbye
that will tell me a voice

Thanks for watching!

OK - now I'm hypnotized :)
Lovely song Mora - vocals are enchanting and the synth bass is addictive.
Great video too - what's not to love?

Quality!

Yo mora.

Like Paulski says, there is a hypnotic quality to this song which carries the listener along on a wave of sound.

It's an interesting topic for a song. The phone can be the bearer of awful news and the sound of it ringing can evoke a sense of dread in the hearer.

It's a fine piece and sweet guitar playing.  8)

Hi Skub! Thanks for your comment. Yes, the phone can be something terrible but to fight against any dark sensation there is the music!
Be well.

Sorry about your loss.

I imagine the work that went into this song creation... is enormous.
And it payed off.

The song conveys the message perfectly, made me feel things.

Great job!

I like the full bodied bass and percussion carpet that this song rides along on.

It does have a trance like quality as others have mentioned.

The song itself isn't really my cup of tea but that's not because there's anything I can fault.

Nicely produced and the 'along the wall' line creates a good hook.

Very nicely balanced musical backing and I think it successfully conveys the apprehension of getting "that call".  The "Along the wall" idea is original and memorable.

Some nice developments in the guitars and synths too - though perhaps for me the percussion could possibly have a little more variation in order to create some more movement?

But a very interesting song and production, excellent.

Has a hypnotic quality and for someone that has had 'that phone call' - i can relate to the soul of the song.
The Foreign accent adds the mystic and atmosphere of the whole piece.
Good song.

This song is just a moment, nothing more. I did not worry about anything more than to express myself in some way but many thanks for your time and suggestions.

Here is beauty and melancholy woven perfectly together, with that wonderful guitar and travelling groove of the beat. A great piece.  Hypnotic indeed. And your vocals were so emotive. powerful.

Hi Mora,
I was caught from the first pace of this piece of music and your video makes the impression stronger and emphasizes the mood you have created. Marcus Repetitive Guitar With Side Tracks Of Solo Lead Dubbings fits perfectly with the underlying percussion track.

Thank you Mora - you've touched me.

Hi Krysoe, thank you for your time and comments. This song is very special to me and I know it has a lot of imperfections, but the guitar of Marcus gives the special touch that makes the song better than it is.
Be well,
Mora

I loved the percussion in this.  That relentless tap-tap-tap, it's like a ticking clock or a heartbeat - quite oppressive in a way, but that is perfect for the subject matter.
The whole thing is both danceable and mournful, and I felt it had an eastern mystical feel to it in a few places.
The ending caught me off guard a little bit, but I'm glad it didn't just fade out.
Bravo on a captivating piece.

Hola Pauly! Gracias por tu comentario. Many thanks for watching and commenting. Actually I love to use percussion as a mantra, something that holds me and guides the feeling that this atmosphere creates by itself.
Regards,
Mora

Mora, I haven't listened to this because I had read the lyrics and thought it would be too heavy for me right now (I'm going through a rough patch). But I just gave it a chance, and wow, really, really beautiful song and video. Surreal quality, and fantastic rhythm. You have a beautiful voice.

Nice work.
I really like your voice
The sensitive lyrics are a treat and the groove is relentless.

Sounds quite sorrowful, touching.

Enjoyed this!

Another fascinating journey...nice production too.

I thought the bit where the phone rang was really well done as it sounded very intrusive, despite not being signposted with too much volume...it just show how inappropriate they can be. That's how I picked it up, anyway!

The echo bit on the vocal at the end worked great too!

Very nice indeed  :)

Feliz Navidad Paul. Mora
