Hey !
What about a french song for a change ? Maybe you could tell me about the mood behind the music ?
Thanks musician friends
Des files dociles,
Des vies qui s'entrechoquent
Aux technophiles
Tu jures sans équivoque
Qu'ils testent tes limites... encore
Pressés en rang
Contre une lourde porte
Les pieds en sang
Foulant des lettres mortes
Des parois sans limites... dehors
Mitraille de néons
Premier, deuxième sous-sol
Enfer de béton
Finie la course folle
Et le temps pour limite...

Yo nono, good to see you and le cat are still barking. :D
I love this, man. It has all the lounge lizard style of Bryan Ferry at his most decadent.
Great clanking guitar backdrop mix well with the percussive element, but damn the thing was over before it started! ;D
For those thinking Garageband is a Micky Mouse DAW,have a listen and re-evaluate.
Always a pleasure nono, hope you,the missus and the new wean are in good shape. :)

C'est tres bien mon frere. I'm a sucker for French vocals and North African percussion so this was an absolute winner for me. Some lovely ltitle ear nibbles going on there and super guitar. Bravo :)

Great fusion of that near spoken French style (I have few deep references but surely a little Gainsbourg in there?), North African infuences ... and EDM...
Love the driving atmosphere, strings and keys really work well and the guitars add some human roughness at the right times. The choir is really organic and emotive and seems just right for the subject matter. My one dislike was the electronic sound around 0´53 and 2´18 - I get the theme of electronica but for me it jarred a little with the music...
A really smooth sound, great production and interesting listen.

listened to this yesterday then forgot to comment.. ::) ::)
like john I love the sound of the French accent..specially on a female but hey..I digress ;D ;D
loved this from start to finish, very eclectic piece mate..well done!!!

That was awesome! I loved it. Didn't care what you were saying. That voice is red velvet. Gorgeous.

Very classy. For me the standouts were the percussion throughout and the fat guitar solo half way through. Cool baritone vocal too.
-
Cool song Nono...nice groove which really draws you in to wallow in the atmosphere.
Production is great...everything sits in there nicely, even the wildish guitar solo fits just fine.

Very nicely put together, excellent sounds and a very interesting groove going on...
Great and intriguing track :)

Hi Nono,
Cool video.
Vocal sounds great. Mrs D likes it. :)
Loved the percussive sounds.
As the song washed over me, I stopped hearing it in French.
Works very well.

Thanks a lot mes amis !
Great fusion of that near spoken French style (I have few deep references but surely a little Gainsbourg in there?), North African infuences ... and EDM...
You hit right, Gainsbourg was one of the origin of the song (singing style and African rhythm) and Bowie's song Always Crashing In The Same Car, the feeling I wanted to express (going in circles).
Always a pleasure nono, hope you,the missus and the new wean are in good shape. :)
Ta my friend, being a father change my way of working on music, I can't shout anymore hence I'm doing cool songs. :-)

Hi retro
You do great music - in any language. ;D ;D
Like the guitars, the vocals and the arrangement/production.
Up to your usual high standards.
Glad to hear you're still keeping at it. ;D

Nono,
Funking start with those rhythms, and a touch of the Middle East with the strings.
The it best down to business.
I'm afraid my language skills are very poor so I recognise some of the words but have no idea what you're singing about but hey I'm enjoying it.
As to mood it feels strident and hypnotic.

Wow!
Fantastic production. Perfect. Loved it.
Even the lyrics are cool when translated by Google;
Tight lines,
Lives clashing
To the technophiles
You swear unequivocally
Let them test your limits ... again
Pressed in row
Against a heavy door
Blood Feet
Treading dead letters
Walls without limits ... outside
Neon grid
First, second basement
Hell of concrete
Gone are the mad races
And time for limit ...

I dunno what else to say than:
Solid work. Nice groove. Nice production. Well played and sung. Maybe not very earwormy / hooky but a good ride nevertheless. It sounds very french pop for me, even whithout the singing.
(off topic)Speaking french pop. Discovered these guys a couple of months ago ;D
Love them!
