You don't know if you will live or die,
fortune favours those who dare to try,
take your chances and you never know,
show no fear, just let it go,

you are never alone,
were all in the danger zone,

Give a little love it's the only way,
give a little love if it's only for one day,
only for one day.

In this battlefield we dare to dream,
run against the wind or swim upstream,
doom dust ladens us with  words that fall,
A little love and we don't feel so small,

You are never alone,
were all in the danger zone,

Give a little love it's the only way,
give a little love if it's only for one day,
only for one day.

all the things that I see,
as the time passes by,
they're a wonder to me,
through the rain in my eyes,
if you never believed me,
you might never have known,
a little love is the answer,
a little love always grows.

You don't know if you will live or die,
fortune favours those who dare to try,

You are never alone,
were all in the danger zone,

Give a little love it's the only way,
give a little love if it's only for one day,
only for one day. ©KNmac

Best, kevin :) :)

Hey Kev ! Like the new rockier sound. Great power chords and I can never fault your production. I particularly like it when the guitars kick in after the breakdown section. Think this one has mega potential for well OTT Bvs.  This isong great mate, I really like it  :)

Hi Kev

Lovely clean sound...I think John's right in that some backing vocals would give it an extra kick here and there...but it's a pretty good as it is. The end caught me by surprise a little...I guess you had to wrap it up as the clock was ticking...

Great to see you still knocking them out at a very high standard  :)

Vocals sounding clear as a bell.  The standouts for me in this track are the rhythm pattern of the guitar chord playing in the verses ("duh duh-duh duuuuh" - love that), and the unexpected mellow middle 8 - it's a song that really goes on a journey between start and finish.  No real crits, I did wonder if it could be 10 bpm faster perhaps but I guess that's a balancing act between high energy and the kind of 'stateliness' it has at the minute.  Nice listening to start the week here - thanks.

Yo Kev.

I always hear the more mature Geddy Lee in your voice when you release your inner Rush.

Super melodic and punchy. Wonderfully complete sound.

I can well imagine this as part of your set when you play a packed out festival.  8)  It's a pretty mad world when songs of this quality are largely unknown.

Kevin,
Neat rocking pop tune had me metaphorically bopping along.
Really like the drums and bass on this one.
Looking for some BV on chorus and maybe a solo after the 2nd chorus perhaps?
Portentous
 :)

I write as I listen. Powerful guitar intro. I feel like the level of the vocals can be a bit lower. Maybe compressed. I love the strumming patterns. It's very rhythmically together. And the chorus is catchy as hell. Sounds a lot like a song REM would write. Maybe another layer would work, like some long organ notes to cover the high end in the verses. I love the chords in the chorus. Very big feeling. Also the production is very neat. The acoustic guitar entrance just jumped. Great B Section, DAMN. And the transition at around 3:03. It kicks ass. I'm really digging this song. The instrumental break reaaaaallly drives. This could be a montage song from a sports movie and i mean that in the best of ways. I'm really jamming to this one. Not much to nit pick about. Great Job Man

Hi

Great track, nice and rocky but with a soft centre, good lyrics and well sung vocal, I like the way it breaks down to a quieter section, the only niggle I have is that when it starts to build up after the breakdown, It feels like there should be a guitar solo of some sort there.

enjoyable listen,

Mikey

Great production! The guitar sounds terrific and the vocals are also very good! I like the lyrics, the message becomes really clear and matches with the music. Since that's what music is all about IMO, I think it's an awesome song.

Hi Kevin

Up to your usual high standards in music and production.  ;D
I kind of agree with someone who said could be a bit faster but I think if you sang in a higher register it would carry more emotion - don't want much do I?  ;D ;D Until the (bridge?) arrives the vocal range seems to be around maybe 5 notes so 4 me it gets a bit repetitive. Maybe need a lift or key shift earlier on? I wanna hear that amazing voice of yours soar!  ;D ;D

Pretty audacious of me nit-picking this level of quality though.
I enjoyed the listen!

Hi Kevin, love the guitar sounds on this and your vocals are excellent. Enjoyed the song and liked the different sections. One or twice for a few seconds the drum pattern didn't quite fit the sound in my head, and it wasn't out of time it was just the phrasing seemed slightly at odds, but hey, that's a minor issue.
Great stuff, as usual!
Cheers

Hi,

This has your usual epic feel - this would work so well in a huge stadium with a full rock band. I thought the arrangement of the guitar parts was very effective and I liked the way the song morphed and moved between the different parts. Vocal is so well delivered and recorded - a thing of wonder as always.

A polished, professional sounding and very effective recording.

Rocktastic...loved the heavy guitar sound.

Highlight for me was the breakdown section in the middle and I particularly liked what sounded like ethereal voices around the 3:30 mark.

Nicely constructed.

Love the melodic and phrasing transition from verse to chorus.

It s how it should be. the chorus adds sth completely new; keeps it interesting; still fits the verse.

Great.

I wonder what would happen, if you tried to approach a song in a more modern way. in terms of writing and arrangement.

cheers

an interesting point regarding a more modern way of writing/arranging I would be grateful if you could explain further.. :) given that a saw the Kaiser chiefs recently and they sounded similar to this song only worse...in my very humble opinion :) (and i am biased of course) and they are very popular...

thanks for listening mate :) :)

well; of course the music we make, is influenced by the music we listen to most.
So, what music do you listen to?

it s kinda hard to name good bands that make modern music which is not too electro.

maybe grizzly bear, Radiohead, Sigur ros....

I mean, maybe i m wrong, but you re music sounds like a GREAT homage to those tunes from the 80s.
and thats great; i m just curious what would happen if you wrote sth...else. cause you do have the skills:)
dont mind

cheers
