I'm new to songwriting, being more of a lyricist than a musician at the moment but I am working on that. I've been studying music and guitar on my own for the last year. That led to writing some lyrics or poetry, which led to learning song structures. Add to that a looper and recording software and I've got most of the stuff to make something really cool, but I could use some like-minded connections to exchange ideas, share, comment, etc. It feels like I'm writing in an echo chamber solo. I look forward to getting to know everyone here and listening, reading, laughing and creating great sounds together.
Cheers!

Yo Jenna,welcome along. :)

Thank you for the warm welcome! I have a question about posting. Last night I posted lyrics for collaboration and don't see them today. Was this against the rules?
-
Where are you looking? I can still see your post on the Collaborations board (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=13310.0).
That's what that board is for; you didn't break any rules. :D

Good to know. Thank you!

Hi Jenna,
Welcome aboard.
Excuse my ignorance, where's orangutan land?
I think I want to go there.

Hi Yodasdad! It's the land of orange, ape-like leadership. Run! Run away as fast as you can.

HI, PaulyX. Every country has its apes, but it seems we have more here than Africa and South America combined. The longer I live, the more apes we accumulate. ;D It doesn't help our media zeroes in on it making the entire country look like a circus show. Oh. Wait a minute . . .

Don't be bitter. It probably will be over soon. 'o)

I can only surmise those in power have all been heavily lead-poisoned in their youth. It's the only thing that explains that generation's propensity for war, violence, and profiteering. Violent crimes in the US decreased in tandem with the removal of lead from gasoline, but that's a conversation for another time and place. ;)

Ello Jenna.
Welcome to this forum (I'm a newbee on ere ! ;D I'm relatively unaware of Who,what or where I am my eyes dont hear so good anymore & my ears have trouble seeing things in perspective! ;D ;D ;D

:D
A newbee are ya? Sounds like you're in relatively good shape still. When your nose starts feeding your mouth is when it all starts to go upside-down, or so my knees have heard in the folk tales once they got around to bending the ear. ;)
