Title: WELCOME TO THE MAY SONG OF THE MONTH COMPETITION!

I so wanted to do something different this month with SOTM bcos it does concern me that its the same people who get selected mostly, so its no wonder not many people bother to vote ..
Every one else must find it a bit depressing & feel excluded, so its no wonder theres no desire to vote..
But when it came down to it, to include other songs would mean excluding what I genuinely feel are the best songs just to give others the chance of the spotlight..
So I felt the only way round it was to choose 8 songs instead of 5!
Ive  included one from the WIP section that I realy liked & a couple of fab ones from new members who havent quite got the required 100 posts, to give some variety to the selection
So youve got a bit more choice than usual, I hope its not too much!

Competition voting closes on June 15th, when I will announce the top 3

Some Rules for Finalists:
1. All finalists must vote in the competition or their song will be removed
2. The winner is totally responsible for running next months comp, or for finding someone else to take it on!

Hey Tina - thanks for the nomination  ;D - your cheque is in the post  ;D.
But did you have to pick really great songs to compete against? Geesh!
Funny coincidence - my better half made me a rhubarb pie yesterday from our garden - super yummy!
The rest of it will be disappearing today..  ;D

Wow, totally made up to have made it into the vegetable basket amongst such nutritious company.

Neil I forgot to give a close date!
I think its usually the 15th ...so we will go with that :)

Vicki I have always wanted a animated avatar since I joined here in 2012, but no one else has ever had them here, so I just assumed they wouldnt work ...then I mentioned it to tone recently & he said they should work ...so I tried it & it did ...so i am now trying to make up for 5 years of not having one!!  :)

As you can see my little dog is getting very excited as the competition hots up!

All the songs are doing well in the voting (which is encouraging for me having chosen them)
Unfortunately maths is not my best subject & somehow Ive messed up the scoring,

Reminds me of one of those foreign airports, im eating my meal and the wife looking at me,

yes I know that it seems the obvious thing to do
but this happened last time I ran the competition & I Pmed the person in question & they still didnt vote... so it made me think maybe some people just dont want to be involved so I was a little reluctant to do it this time thats all....I try hard to encourage people but dont want to force anyone

Maybe I will send them a cryptic message & see if they can work it out:
