Hi everyone,
                 this is a song about what is going on in syia at the moment, not at all anything to do with polotics, just a song expressing what i feel about what is happening over there !!

Have we really not learned anything about what has happened recently ? and once again as is always the case, it's the ordinary people who suffer the most !!

there has to be a better way !!

would anyone on the forum like to put music to this ? if so pm me and we will take it from there.

Honestly when I saw the title I was like "urrgh" songs like this I don't really have interest for. If I put all that a side I quite like it. There are some good lines in it and its a lot better than I thought it would be (I mean nothing against your writing there, you made the topic more interesting haha). Anyway my preferred topic but its good!

It's a very murky business what's going on in Syria and the rest of the Middle East. Who knows who is doing what and why.

So sorry I've been gone from this section for so long-I'm about to catch up on all the lyrics that have been posted in the last few weeks

I totally agree with Boo, I see songs like this and aren't really that interested to click on them, but if I look at it with an open mind, it was very good and especially very honest. The first verse was nice, it came straight in with some blunt but effective lines, if it was on the radio I'm sure everyone would be listening and intrigued by that point. For me, the chorus was a tad cheesy, but I think that was kind of expected with a 'non fiction' song like this- the right melody could take that factor away.
Maybe also, (about to be INCREDIBLY hypercritical) you could shorten some of the lines?
For example:
While the men who pull the trigger
Are sleeping safe underground
To
While the men who pull the trigger
Sleep safe underground
I don't know, but to me it read a bit better when I condensed it.
Anyway, I like the originality and how you've used topical inspiration...thumbs up from me👍

thanks for your comments, it's strange because thats exactly what i had written down when i wrote it,
changed it to :- ARE SLEEPING SAFE UNDERGROUND,

purely for the flow, as it seems to fit in with the other verses, slightly better, but i fully understand your point.

really good write mate, when you can write about something so current like this it's
nice to see, I really do hope someone has a go at the music for you
when I was reading it gave me a feel of like a rap type song, like shouting angrily at the top dogs
who always seem to be out of the line of fire,

I've read this lyric multiple times through the last few days.  The more I see it, the more I like it. 

It's a beautiful concept, and I think you have done justice to the concept in every way you can without getting all preachy.  Very well done imo.

i feel really strongly about this, hate seeing those awful images on tv, i;m not political in any way, but somrthing needs to be done for those poor people !
