Title: "Ready To Rock"
Post by: Bostonfan2 on January 01, 2022, 03:48:22 PM

Hope all enjoyed Ringing in the New Year Year! Thought I would share this one, had alot of fun with the "dueling " guitar solo
with a good friend on this old style Rocker. Lyrically its about as shallow as it gets ... :) but its all in good fun !

Ready To Rock

Cranked up my Marshall
plugged in my Les Paul
Been waiting all week
to get away from it all

Are you Ready?
Are you ready to Rock!

Are you Ready?
Are you Ready to Rock!

I don’t mind getting Funky
I like the Rhythm & Blues

In the City or the country
It’s time to spread the news…

Every day I’ve been
punching the clock
I’ve got my Hamer
and it’s time to rock!

Are you ready !
are you ready to rock !

Are you ready?
Are you ready to rock

Everyday I’ve Been punching the clock
Ive got my Hamer and its time to rock.

Are you ready !
are you ready to rock !

Are you ready?
Are you ready to rock

This is chuffing awesome mate! Channeling your inner AC/DC. (Don’t worry about the lyrics .. they’re just fine… and ACDC built a whole career out of that theme!). Epic big sounding production and the vocals sound killer. Mightily impressive, life affirming and great fun.

Well it will perhaps come as no surprise that I love this. Anything to do with Marshalls and Les Pauls and I'm in!! Just as well I haven't had a few beers yet or I'd probably wreck what's left of my ageing frame idiot dancing - or trying to!! This would be a great opener for a stadium rock band. It's all been done before but that doesn't matter when you do it as well as this. Lovely stuff..really enjoyed it. :)

Brilliant. Classic Rock isn't really my cup of tea but this is polished and ready to release.

@Bostonfan2 (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=22448) - Didn't stop smiling all the way through, totally brilliant, nailed everything, especially the LVox. never liked AC/DC but I really like this, I couild hear in your vocal delivery that you really were loving it.

Top banana..Always a sucker for brand references, not enough of 'em, as for guitar solos, bring it on....

Totally loved it, now go and get those leopard skin tights off and sling the curly wig into the machine....and settle down for Antiques Roadshow (or whatever you have over there)

Ho, loved it, classic rock at it's best, you ticked all the boxes! If you saw this live you'd love it even if you weren't a rocker...

Brilliant!

Hi there,

Man!  Great energy - great vocals.  The only critique is that the vocals are a little cheesy, but that is also a great asset actually.  I mean AC/DC lyrics are not steller but they work!  I also find in the mix the drums are a little loud compared to the guitars.

That aside, really love the intro alot!  Great build up of energy.  Love also how you left gaps between the riffs in the verse.  Drums are also really well played/programmed and mixed well.  Killer job dude!

Jonathan
