I would LOVE to be able to mix. I have tried with mixed results.

If you're serious about learning how to mix, this was what worked for me :
I started watching one tutorial a day, mostly before going to sleep, making notes along the way. Later that week trying it out in my own mixes. I'm not saying it's easy, or that you will become a professional mixer within no time, but it will deffinately help you make better choices with your future productions. Some great entries that helped me a lot:

https://www.youtube.com/@inthemixEventually you'll also need some pro mixing VSTs, which'll set you back quite a few hundred bucks if you want to do it right. But luckily, the standard EQ/compression/saturation/reverb/effects options in your DAW might be fine enough when starting to learn mixing.
