Hi,
Very beautiful melody and perfect interpretation. I really like your song and the guitar/voice side allows you to appreciate the essence of the thing, it's great!

Hi Andy,

I know exactly what you mean.
I seem to be able to focus on work - as I have to, but everything else just seems to flow in and out. Seem to lack motivation or interest most of the time - almost have to force myself to do anything worthwhile. Never watched so much TV.

At least you've been able to gather it up and turn into a well channeled song and performance.

The Bhoys can't be helping much either.  :D

That's until @digger72 brought up the footy lol...Its been great value our season tickets this year to watch a live stream! At least Scotland gave the nation some much-needed cheer last night  ;D

That chorus - lovely sentiments... love the way you deliver it at the end - so full of emotion!! Such a great way to channel those emotions - gotta love songwriting. Lyrics are very strong and melody also. As always vocals and harmonies gorgeous!!

After the first listen to both versions...I thought I preferred the solo acoustic version...then I changed my mind....so now when I come back to it after a couple of days...I've decided that I was right twice.

I love the way the chord (especially in the intro when it's more exposed) seems to clash with itself which makes it sound happy with an underlying sadness...that probably describes me perfectly. Maybe that's why I love songs like this.

Your voice is brilliant...and the way the instruments fall away around 3:20 and then come back in was great.

Very classy indeed.

I think I like both version @kafla for different reasons.

I love the electric guitar riff and playing in general in the full version but I like the exposed nature of the acoustic version.

A nice piece of songwriting.

Good Job !

Too many experts and not enough help! Isn't that right?  Winston Churchill said that experts should be on tap and not on top. I couldn't agree more!

Division, ah man, I wish that I could  rid the world of all divisions.

'I just want to be somebody you run to, that you turn to.  A voice reaches out into the universe with an emotional cry, wanting to connect with anyone willing to listen. You've been here before Andy Cruise and I would wager many times.  Beautiful singing to match a beautiful song. Beautiful break down before this baby flies again towards the end. Peace and love to you my friend.

This is a beautiful and honest song, clearly heartfelt and must be difficult to sing without tearing up, excellent vocals on both versions though. I particularly like the melody of the verses and lyrically personally identify with the second verse... I salute your bravery in being this honest, great composition
Sound formed in a vacuum may seem a waste of time...

Hi Andy and sorry to hear you have been unwell. So here we have that voice that can do no wrong and grabs your heart from the off and doesn't let go. "Too many seconds but not enough time" - that's a great line. I always think your songwriting is like your voice - warm, subtle and comforting. A lovely listen.

@kafla This is a lovely song borne from real heartache. Well done, mate. I prefer the acoustic version but regardless, great job well done!
