Another vote for the nanowebs - best strings I've tried so far.
Gulp! ... not cheap eh?
No, their not exactly cheap indeed, but well worth their money. They're covered with some magic substance that prevents any dirt/dust/sweat to get stuck in between the windings, which does a lot to maintain the "new strings sound" for quite a long time.
Just a heads-up: d'Addario has got coated strings as well, the EXP series. The bronze rate is 80/20.
They sound a little less bright than Elixirs IMO, I've had both before. But I like the tone very much, even more so than the very bright Elixirs.
Apparently, they've also got a different feel. Found this on a guitar forum: "It seems to me that Elixirs are wound then coated, but the D'Addarios are coated then wound, thus feel less coated and more natural." It never really struck me, but I find the d'Addario's very comfy to play with. (I've got 13's now, but their 12's are very good either as I recall).
And I do believe they are a bit cheaper...
But as always it depends on the sound and feel you want to get out of them, right?
I'd suggest you try them both out and take your pick
