An older song I rewrote and recorded with my friend Tony a few days ago...I don't normally sing this way but I thought it might be fun to try it out....... Tell me what you think mix, production...etc.. ...and how it could be better....

TELL ME WHAT IS TRUE
©lyrics/music 2016  I.Wolosenko
Lead guitar / Bass - Tony DiGregorio
Vocals / Guitar / Keys - Igg

Verse 1
Tell ..... me, tell me that you love me
Hold me ..........like you won't let go
Kiss me .... kiss me......like you want me
lately.......... It just doesn't show

CHORUS:
'Cause I've tried to make you see
You mean more ...than my life to me
So tell me everything's alright ......
Tell me what is true.....

Verse 2
They say ....... you been finding trouble
I hear stories....whispering through town
You keep saying .......there have been no others
Holding you... when I'm not around

CHORUS:
'Cause I've tried to make you see
You mean more ...than my life to me
So tell me everything's alright ......
Tell me what is true.....

INSTRUMENTAL:

BRIDGE:
Couldn't live without you in my life
Couldn't go on that way
Thinking of a world ...without you.. girl
Driving me insane

Outro:
Sometimes ...... I start thinking crazy
This life with you is killing me

I don't know anything about production and mixing and stuff like that, but it sounded good to me. You mentioned you don't usually sing like this, but I've decided I like it when you do. No nits.

Yep - This is great Igg. Think your voice is superb. Love the guitar licks in particular and the solo is sensational. Right up my street this. Excellent work, no nits whatsoever.

Cheers

Fabulous! SUPERB vocals and the guitar solos kind of took me on a 'trip!'

Brilliantly sung/played/produced

Hi Igg,

You and Tony have done it again, surpassed yourselves. This is like Roy Orbison fronting Cream at their best.

Love the way the guitar solo melts into the bridge vocal, cool stuff. Congratulations.

All the best John

ive never realy been a fan of eric clapton & I certainly didnt know he was so big he had a north & a south!....but this is much better than anything he could do
blues doesnt do a lot for me but this did.. probably bcos you sing it like a ballad & I thought it was fab
I just love the smooth croon of your voice.. tho the bits when you let go a bit are realy great

such lovely tasteful guitar backing & a fab solo tho I thought the repetitive chord sequence it was played over stopped it getting spectacular ...now the purists will obviously say it started in west clapto & finished in east clapto but I thought it  started from the chorus & finished at another chorus ...& very nicely too  ;D
fab song igg!
Tell me Im wonderful & I ll be nice to you :)

This song is perfect.

If this is a new style of singing for you then please use it again.

Definitely hints of Roy Orbison and a little of Elvis...great voice

Great guitar playing.....just want to find a road big enough for this song!

More of this please.

Great stuff, Igg. Fine song, super guitar, and excellent singing. Lovely production, too. Not sure I get the Clapton link? But that doesn't matter - in fact it's a positive :-) Well done. Fine stuff.

This is splendid
Quality in it's own right, but it makes me still recall Clapton on guitar and Roy Orbison on vocals.
Just a really good job all round, masterful.
Well done Igg!
It's either this or that, then again it might be the other.

I can promise you a future of slow decline.

This has got to be my favorite of yours  :o
Great soul, and has captured a sorta Jimmie Hendricks guitar, with the emotional spirit of Roy Orbison at the vocal and melody.
Very, very nice.........I'd say this is worth (at least) a hundred listens  8)

Thanks for your great comments...

Vicki - As my queen commands....there will be more singing!!! :>)

Mr. Canuck - Thanks for the vote of confidence....Deeply appreciated...!

John (Pomp) - Mucho Gracias - I'm getting ready to open for Julio Iglescias ...:>)

Philip - Glad you enjoyed the tour ...and humble thanks for the kudos...

Kevin - You are too kind...I'm off to Vegas!

John(London) - I sure do like the sound of that...makes my day...!

Tina - Why, that's the silliest thing....Anyone familiar with Claptonia,  knows that it just runs North to South (similar to the Carolinas)...there is no east or west...or even up or down!!!  Thanks for your lovely encouraging comments...As always truly appreciated...

Keith - Thanks for the time and thoughts.... and I'm glad you enjoyed your trip in the wayback machine with Peabody and Sherman

Sandeep -  Thank you for your extremely kind comments!

Paul - Very glad that you enjoyed this one..I enjoyed writing the lyrics for this swampy tale of love and suspicion...story line of course derived from Othello....

Derek - Thanks for the listen and the very kind sentiment...

Rightly - Who is this Orbison guy?  :>)  Thanks!!!!

Tom - Felt good to jump into the darkness of the lyrics... and reach for redemption...Much thanks !!
