Hi guys.
Here's myself and Mikey's new track, Hope it appeals to some of the forum members.
Pin back your ears....
Lyrics are as follows:
So you’re leaving in the morning
They said I’ll never get you back
But I know your little secret
But Your no better than that……
You can’t hide….All the things that you said
You can’t hide….All those thoughts in your head
You can’t hide ….Like the tears of a bad dream
You can’t hide…..i’ll be right in your bloodstream
All those lies are gunna haunt you
They’ll be hiding as you sleep
and i’ll be sitting on your shoulder
you promises are harder to keep….
You can’t hide….All the things that you said
You can’t hide….All those thoughts in your head
You can’t hide ….Like the tears of a bad dream
You can’t hide…..i’ll be right in your bloodstream
So i’ll be waiting in your conscience
voices running round your head
when you’re staring at the ceiling
While you’re lying in your bed.

Really good song, guys. I like the right in your bloodstream line. Makes me wonder if it's about a person or drugs. I like not knowing for sure. The singing and all the music sounds great. It's memorable, too. You got a keeper.

F@ck yeah guys!!! This is smoooooth! Love it! Great job getting in and out in 3.35! That’s my Everest!! Great hooky chorus, brilliantly sung! Amazing production, but I don’t expect anything less from this outfit! ;)
My only thought was (& it was just a thought) that I wasn’t sure about the chord sequence u have under that hooky chorus, especially on the first chorus. (God knows what would go there instead! :D) it’s not that it doesn’t work....I just don’t know if it’s the best possible option?? Just a thought...is all, it really is a fab track and me and my baby girl loved our listens. :D
-
IMO, this has got all the elements of a hit song guys :) very hooky chorus indeed 8) Great vocals :-\ Awesome guitar 8)
a really well written/arranged song and very well produced :)

Hi all.
Thanks for taking a listen and commenting, Its great to get feedback on songs, even if people just take a listen and say it sounds good or bad, It tells me the my mix/master process has translated to other setups.
@redrhodie (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=21171)
Your comment got us taking a second look at the lyrics, yeh, they could be about a person struggling with drugs, I see that now, It was written about a girl.boy who cheated but the other person has some info that wouldn't be good if it got out.
@LostBoy (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=20481)
Cheers dude, appreciate the mix and vocal comments as you are the man for smooth vocals, I will never compete there. We would love to do a collab with you sometime..Hey the chord sequence..thruth be told, This song was adapted from a track that didn't work out with a singer I worked with. We stuck with the arrangement and wrote around it, Maybe not the best way. Pleased you like the listen,
@crystalsuzy (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=18947)
Really pleased you liked the elements in the track, and that all important catchy hook.
Myself and @Mikey (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=20986) would like to thank all that take the time to listen and comment.
Thanks
Andy

Top notch stuff guys. Excellent playing, vocals and production. I particularly like the acoustic guitar that underpins the whole track. Keep em coming guys :)
-
Do you know, I just wanted to say how tasty the acoustic guitar production was , and then I read pompey jazz's post, rare indeed to get them as nice as this.

Hey Guys. Pretty faultless. And this one sounds closer to how a live band might sound which has been my main beef with some of your earlier songs. You sound more liberated on this track. Its great to listen to.
-
This is phenomenal. For me the chorus should be two lines instead of four, I think it goes on a bit (as good as it is) yet again you guys have produced a brilliant piece of songwriting. Straightforward yet meaningful lyrics, and you know i'm a huge fan of that guitar sound.
-
Excellent song guys. ;D ;D
Love the build and the effortless, smooth guitar playing.
Put me in mind of Fleetwood Mac ;D ;D
Great mix and production....of course ;D ;D
My gasted was flabbered ;D
Loved it...
-
Love it - hits the spot - sounds really good and has everything going for it.
-
Smooth and catchy, beautifully played, sung and produced - also put Fleetwood Mac in mind for me particularly at the ‘You can’t hide’ line. Loved everything about it!

Hi guys, sorry for the delay in getting back to you, thanks for all the kind words, we really appreciate everyone who has taken the time to listen and comment, I must admit, we hadn't seen any similarity to Fleetwood Mac, but are incredibly flattered by the comparison to them.
Thanks for the comments on the production, and thanks from me for the nice comments on the guitars.
Cheers, Mikey

Thanks Mutrins, Glad you liked it and thank you for the kind words.
I feel with every track the mix gets a little better as does our playing. Great reason to write songs and work on other peoples tracks too.
Every day is a school day
Thanks

Hi Rich,
This is easily the best thing you've done so far. Effortless sounding, smooth, melodic west coast pop/rock. Fleetwood Mac/Eagles would kill for this on an album. First class in every department - a real breath of fresh, summer air.
Brilliant

Yep....more wows etc from me!
Fantastic production...strong song, strong vocals and excellent guitar work.
I think I agree that the first chorus might benefit from being two lines long and that straight into the second verse....but thats because I always try to find something to improve (very hard task on this one).
Just loved the energy...
Paul.

Cheers Guys.

@montydog (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=18653) Cheers Alan, Eagles/Fleetwood mac. wow! thats a real compliment, thanks a lot mate.

I go away, I pop back in, and I'm hit with a classy track like this. Think I might go away again and try harder!
Cool classic rock vibe, hooky vocals and top quality playing and production, what's not to like.
I'd have to dig pretty deep to find fault, so why bother.
Good stuff.

well done
your production skills amaze me
nice song too
Keep rockin'

I like this better than 90% of what I hear on the radio. That's not as big a compliment as it might sound, since I do not tend to like 90% of what I hear on the radio, but still, I believe that in a fair world, this would do very well commercially AND artistically.
-
Great song, great sound, great synths, great guitars, great voices, chorus... Lyrics make me wonder same than redhrodie... a person, drugs, conscience???
-
Hey fellas - Great driving tempo (also tempo for driving), intriguing backstory, nice original bloodstream image, breakdown just in the right place, professional sounding production...
Damn! Just a really enjoyable song!
-
Super sound on this!
Perfect for radio, had they not been too busy playing stuff that isn't as good...
I don't think folks like yourselves who haven't quite cracked the big time can do much more than this...great song, great playing, great vocals, great production...
Really excellent.
