this is by my old band, Goodbye Horses. we broke up right before recording what i thought was going to be some of our best stuff.. anyways, this is from our EP. its called "take it or leaf it" and its the only song on the EP i wrote the lyrics and music to.

i feel like hell
i cant explain
how much it hurts
and how much im in pain
a little help went a little way
a lot of good it didnt do me anyway

my lifes a mess
for which i cant complain
i shit this bed, and now in it ill lay
made some mistakes
but at least ill be alrite
cas in the end it dosnt matter when you die

so absorbed and exposed i could throw up right on the floor
so important and bored. id drop all my plans for yours

is this the end? cas i dont give a fuck
i never started when things started to look up
i saw a dog locked in the back seat of a car
it made me wonder have we really come this far?
to evolve from a monkey to a man
then how come some nights im all over the ground cas i cant stand?
to get a hand to get back into this crawl
and open up to splill my guts out on the wall

so absorbed and exposed i could throw up right on the floor
so important and bored id drop all my plans for yours

Some horses ..

Nice song ex .. horse .. ;D .. Hi Wolvesonfire

love the playing .. the singing .. sounds .. loved the guitar solo .. and the choice of the sound .. brilliant ..

the only thing I had to say the chorus was drowned by the guitars .. if I wasn't reading the lyrics it would be hard to comprehend what was said .. :D

Very nice but the band is no more .. what next .. maybe solo recording ??   ;D

Cheers ..

This is so much better recorded than your song in the wip, no comparison. I can hear the vocal and I am impressed.

Like the lyrics, pretty edgy stuff.

"it made me wonder have we really come this far?
to evolve from a monkey to a man"

nice line.

However, not so sure on the hook lines in the chorus "throw up on the floor" lacks a lot in the class stakes in comparison to some of the other lines.

Some very nice guitar riffs, overall a very accomplished sound.

Kudos to you on this one.

ha thanks fun, but all i can claim on this song is the writing (music and lyrics) and back up vox. a good man by the name of frank silver did all the recording and mixing, and he definitely knew what he was doing. i prolly shouldve paid closer attention..

Liking the interweaving guitars, vocals sound radio friendly modern US pop/rock.
Interesting funk break with top lead playing.
Good energy too.

Take it or leaf it? I would take it without a doubt. Some of the language left me cold, but some good lines as well, sounded like everyone enjoyed doing it which came through. Well done. Terry.

 Hi

Sounds great....big 'american college' sound going on with the vocals, which I loved ;D ;D.  Really like the production/mix.  Pity your band split up.  Que sera sera etc ;D ;D   good luck with your solo endeavours. You've obviously got what it takes, so don't worry.....you'll do fine ;D ;D......Good work
