in my mind this would be an acoustic song, light alternative rock maybe.
i came up with this in 15 minutes MAX.
sometimes I just lay back and look
at how we used to get all mad
you'd be here in my arms all day
oh, how you made me catch my breath
everything always seems so calm
but that's the sign of the coming unlit dawn
why does it always happen
that without you, daylight seems so dark
but why do we always have to
lose what we were meant to call ours
look up, see the northern lights
watch them as they sparkle for you
truth be told they won't last forever
oh, but i promise, for you I will do
everything always seems so right
but that's the sign of the coming low tide
why does it always happen

Remember when you go far
the depth of the reflection of my eyes
I saw you as perfect as the rainbow colors
what you fell into wasn't a lie

I really like this bit of the song very well written.
