Hi all

Obviously new here and thanks for accepting me but would love to collaborate on a few ideas however I have some limitations:

I can play about 6 guitar chords
I can play about 11 keyboard chords
My voice resembles nothing anyone would consider pleasant
I played in a band in my 20s but I think only because they had a keyboard and needed the numbers (it was seriously bad)
I live in the NorthWest (UK)
I'm approaching 50 with little to no talent and possibly unable to afford giving up work and going to college to study sound engineering etc

On the good side:

I love music (pop, electronica, neo prog, jazz, EDM, Rock etc)
I have a couple of keys and a guitar
I have a room my good lady is happy for me to 'keep my wires in'
Reasonable tech comfortable
Keen to do 'something' but trying not to be too overwhelmed by all the talent on here
Have made a couple of 'efforts' at lyrics over the years but boy they are bad

So now I have laid bare all my reasons for non collaboration would anyone with equivalent limitations and similar skills possibly be interested in having a beer?

Hey Jaques!

Welcome. Your opening lines remind me of a first interview with a psychiatrist. That's no bad thing though. Well done for your honesty which is more than likely to be typical Northern modesty.
Think yourself lucky you are just approaching 50... I am in my mid 50's. Were I in your area I would definitely go out for a beer with you (providing my missus gave me some pocket money).

Look forward to more of your posts and of course your songwriting.
