Why did you write your song?
Originally, this was going to be made for my third EP project I called Party-Zon: Subdivide, but I never released it due to suggestions by my peers. I thought it a waste to just hold on to it, especially since I poured a lot of love and time into it, and so I decided to release it. Not one of my most popular tracks, but I definitely had a lot of fun making it.

What are your aims for your song?
I wanted to create something that shows that I enjoy electronic music and cool production, but also shows that I'm very much a studied musician. Coincidently, I also ended up with a sort of Latin feel which is great but unexpected lol.

What aspects of your song are you looking for comments about?
Mainly on execution on style. I say electronic music, but I'm not entirely sure which way this leans or if it strays in line with a specific genre...or even no genre XD. Also, maybe some information on where the track may have been lacking.

Enjoy all :D

Hey Xtreemmak, welcome to the forum.
To me this track felt like an impressive "production showreel".  All sounded very professionally created - it sounds a bit like you are showing "I can do this, and I can do this, and I can do this..." across a range of instruments to demonstrate your skills as a musician/producer.  I guess from your second paragraph below about your aims, this is partly what you were aiming for.  I could also imagine this being used as backing track to some kind of product or corporate video.  (Maybe you should explore licensing it for that kind of thing?)
As a "showreel" then I thought it worked very well - as a "song" though it didn't grab me so much.  This is probably because there are so many parts to it, and all of them are pretty high intensity, I didn't get much sense of a dynamic build or recurring hooks, so it's not lodged in my memory (I couldn't whistle any of it back to you now, which is my usual test of hookiness!).  With your obvious production skills though it would be good to hear future postings which have a clearer structure.  Do you ever work with a vocalist?
It's all too beautiful.

Licensing it sound like an interesting idea. I'd have to look into a few platforms to do that however; can't say I trust Taxi that much.

Gotcha. I feel there were parts that, arrangement wise, showed enough change from section to section to let it breath to give that dynamic push pull, but then again it doesn't matter what I think. So I probably didn't let it breath enough, or have a solid enough distinction between the drops, etc. Obviously this is your opinion, but its definitely one to take considerable note on. I can also see where you're coming from with it. No complaints.

Stealing this. Sorry, I now reserve the rights to whistle testing. No you can't have your idea back XD

Yes. I have for years mainly in the R&B domain, and i've done background vocals on a few projects in the past. I've taken a greater liking to electronic music though so still just getting the hang of things as far as arrangements, styles, production etc. You'll hear a few of my vocal inclusive tracks eventually. I have a 14 day wait period now atm lol. Eventually, I'll probably come up with some kind of Progressive House track or what not with a female vocal ^_^.

Thanks for listening!
