The first one is fantastic! The second one i feel the composition loses it's form.
I can never get my head around how they play like that.

Yes, it's a great melody. I'm just allergic to the fact that he's playing a spanish guitar with a plectrum he's missing out on all the tonal colours of the instrument.

And people are always saying he's a great guitarist, but I think she's far better than him. What she does is much harder to do, and she does it far better than he does.

So there :p

But recently been listening to Jeff Beck's 70's / early 80's stuff. Kinda Jazz funk. But that would match up with my fav bassist. Stanley Clarke.

here's a few I think deserve mention......Joe walsh, Alvin lee, Leslie West and I'm a great fan of Arlo Guthrie....all brilliant guitar players....I could go on but most of my guitar heroes are from a 'certain era'.  For me the most important technique in guitar playing is attack, that's why Hendrix has got to be my all time great.   Oh and don't forget Tom Petty, Bob dylan, Carlos santana.............
