Moldova - wonderful folk rock energy and I want one of those hats.

Austria - spine tingling melodies and great performance

Slovenia - powerful wimmin singing a powerful song

Germany - cool and mellow

Serbia had a certain retro charm, Georgia would have been better without the costumes, Aizaerbaijan was decent. Tone, is your surname 'deaf' by any chance?  ;)

Of course I forgot the pumping sidechaining of Hungary, Albania shouldn't have gone out in the semis and nor should Poland!

Sorry Sonic have to agree with Tone. A steaming pile of mediocre crap. The greater majority of songwriters who post on this forum could have written infinitely higher quality songs than anything that was broadcast tonight.

Hehe

I feel I should qualify my position by saying that I haven't heard a single song from this year's contest. That's how bad it usually is. :)

Well, whether you did or not, I still stand by what I said.

Tut tut tut tut. Tone, you should watch a French film called Rien sur Robert about a critic involved in a scandal after reviewing a book he hadn't read. Tut tut tut!  :P

Spacedogg - you telling us you watched it all? (You should know better by now.)  ;)

Well, I have to agree that there were only a few really good songs this years.

I liked the Danish song (still whistling it), Serbia had a nice little Folk song, Italy was smooth and cool, and the voice of the Austrian singer was overwhelming.

Don't know why Sweden got so many votes. Many deaf people out there, I guess.  ;D

Sorry Sonic but I find it interesting to see how it alters over the years but still remains basically the same show. Every now and then a wee gem pops up but it is mostly always a steaming pile. Sad but true.

Deaf? Lol - you old farts! hehe - I'm getting that guys album ASAP!

Did you not see him smashing his way out of The Cube (if you're not in the UK you won't get my joke) - that's one way to 'defeat THE CUBE"!

Tone - that is ridiculous, and as the head of our songwriting forum you should be flogged for that comment "I feel I should qualify my position by saying that I haven't heard a single song from this year's contest."

In the lyrics! Half of them don't sing in English. You'll be having a go at Verdi next! And it doesn't matter how they dance it's a song contest. If you thought it could be better you should have seen it in the 1980s.
