I've just been looking at Christmas song competitions (I think I've just written something worthy of submission?!) but as far as entry is concerned I've missed the boat, this year at least. One comp where I might submit to though is the "Song for Peace" competition

Anybody heard of it? it's free to enter but my paranoid character seems to flag something up... I don't  know why particularly just copywrite protection and "who are these people" issues I guess...

Any thoughts guys...

I listened to the top 5 songs so far.. already with 21,000 & 11,700 votes apiece
 for the top 2!! & it was like Eurovisions most embarrassingly bad songs performed by the worst of the X Factor auditioners
what is it about worthy causes or anything that involves 'Good' that attracts such cringeing cheesy nonsense... whereas bad subjects attract such awesome creative stuff

make your song a scary peace song & enter it in our halloween comp instead

Wow!  I’ve got to be honest I didn’t do enough research,  I was having a sneaky Google at work when I came across it…big thanks for the warning!

Although my ‘authentic’ seasonal rant/song, whilst having a sprinkling of cheese, also has some choice language which probably would have gone down like a cup of cold sick with the judges of this particular competion… Hmm...shall I...? NO! after reading your post Tina I’ll give it a WIDE berth!
