Disregard Everything I Say...
This Line We Walked

I think I grew lyrically, I keep coming out with stuff like this...I'm not sure...I feel like I have
So...This is about feeling alone, ever felt alone? couldn't rely on the one person you trust?
yeah me too
September 1st , I'm scared to speak
September the 3rd, I'm scared to leave
My speech got blurred
And so did my vision
My house stopped being a home and became prison
I couldn't see my hands
I didn't know where I was going
I pushed everything away without even knowing
You keep catching me on my knees
You always know what I want
and give me what I need
I'm almost ready for this
And then you come closer
And I can feel that you're his
Let me clarify
Knowing something like that
Doing this, I'd rather die
I find rest in a bottle
I lay alone at winter in my bed
The only thing keeping me warm is the alcohol rushing to my head
I'm not ready to give up just yet
But this is the same as the past couple of years
And I'm slowly giving in to all my darkest fears
I'm laying here watching everything fall apart at my feet
The problem is that I could never speak
December 12th
the cold dark days
the worry and the pain
Take up brand new shades
I take a razorblade to make a line
I need to do this sometimes to make sure I'm still alive
I wonder what it's like in the afterlife
Can you imagine just seeing blue skies?
it keeps me awake at night
You keep catching me on my knees
You always know what I want
and give me what I need
I'm almost ready for this
And then you come closer
And I can feel that you're his
Let me clarify
Knowing something like that
Doing this, I'd rather die
I find rest in a bottle
I lay alone at winter in my bed
The only thing keeping me warm is the alcohol rushing to my head
I'm not ready to give up just yet
But this is the same as the past couple of years
And I'm slowly giving in to all my darkest fears
I'm laying here watching everything fall apart at my feet
The problem is that I could never speak
This is the line we walked
The way we talked
Everything that fell apart
It's at my feet
now the problem is that I can speak
And that I've got nothing to lose
Cause nothing's all I've got
I find rest in a bottle
(so let the winter come to take me away)
I lay alone at winter in my bed
(Let hearts break between your lies)
The only thing keeping me warm is the alcohol rushing to my head
(between hungry hearts and heavy eyes)
I'm not ready to give up just yet
(everything will just fall apart)
But this is the same as the past couple of years
And I'm slowly giving in to all my darkest fears
(now it's time to fix that broken heart)
I'm laying here watching everything fall apart at my feet
The problem is that I could never speak

Hiya
I don't really spend much time reviewing lyrics. Much more prefer to hear stuff but I just had to comment
on these. I'm not sure exactly how these would fit to music although I think pretty much anything can if you are
clever enough, but these are great.
Thoroughly captivating. Nice one

good lyrics sellon
i think it could work well as a dirge in any style you want. leonard cohen was good at them, but i think rememtion song is like a dirge, Or because you've got so many lyrics it could be done more punky to keep the tempo high to fit all the lyrics in. its what tunes you

Wow this isn't just a song it's like a journey. The rhyming is on point and it tells such an amazing story, even though there is no repetitive chorus, so to speak, every part is memorable and this piece is so marketable. Love it

Great lyrics, must have taken ages to put all that together. I really like having the dates in there, in fact I kinda hoped there'd be another date near the end ;-) It looks like a lot of words for one song but if the beat isn't too slow it may come out just right, I'll be interested to see how you tackle that :-)
