@subvibe  . . . Super creativity, catchy trippy pop song ! Great ambient feel, and like how the vocals are mixed out front.

@kevysc  . . . Yikes, your voice here is surely reincarnated Bowie . . . I'm sure you've heard that more than a few times.
It's a great pop piece to listen to, and I really found your vocal so strong. Much appreciation there.
Why do those harmony electric guitars always date it to the 70's ? . . . and the piano chord progression may be retro as well . . . because that's when we first heard those sounds I think. Bottom line for me is it's a great listen, congratulations ! . . . as far as the AI debate . . . I've personally found the robots very useful for mixing, sampled guitars, realistic drums . . . the things that my old ears and fingers find much harder to do as time goes by . . . oh, and the entire 10 piece drum kit fits in a tiny tiny box in my condo, and drinks none of my beer.

Well either version , its quiet clever , Jesus loves you but i don't . Amazon has t-shirts with the phrase .

Nashville hugs the bible belt on every song , or big % of them . "Gospel Country " mostly Baptists I think . I haven't been there in a long while

That might be funny to wear

I also want to add here

These song lyrics of mine, on this particular post
... Are not that good.
The song is meant to be comic relief, a bit of light fun,
to counter the more melancholy songs on the album.

It's difficult for me and most others to evaluate the quality of a song
based only on the lyrics.
Better song lyrics are ignored
But that one four letter word is enough to spark a debate
Funny, isnt it?
And that's why I don't want to replace it with "runt" or "beeepp..."
I've often posted much better song lyrics

I write a lot of religious songs , Its a staple in country music . there's some killer Jesus songs . Whatever a writer wants to say is fine with me . Major Christian songs stray away from profanity. but they're devout Christians . Back to your song , I was kinda thinking this hook had to be been done , and it has. Just for the sake of competition. You would have to beat her song.

😆
Well done to whoever wrote that!
That hook, the sentiment, it is indeed a fruit of the same tree.

It's very country, with the prominent slide.

It turns me off a bit. Nashville skyline, the album by Bobby D, uses it a lot.
I didn't like the slide as a kid when I first heard it.
Great album of songs, it won me over in the end.

Typical English productions rarely, if ever, apply that slide.
It took me ages to accept David Byrne was/is American because of his heady self restraint.
The English songwriters are culturally a different animal.
The Americans more smash n grab. This doesn't mean I don't think they're great.
Dylan, Prince, Reed, and Neil young are usually in my top 5 songwriters.

(Prince did that song "rock n roll love affair" and "when you were mine" and others, quite country I think)

It's both impossible and easy to compete with a breathy, introspective beautiful woman.
Sort of cheap n yet hard to resist at the same time.
Aside from that, the production on this track is full of all the tricks that are to be expected.
Chunky memorable chorus too.

Songwriting here is of course top notch
It does make me want to add more to my own track.

Interesting. Thanks for posting that. @Elvis Nash

Excellent story telling. I like your word pictures they set the mood and create a clear and realistic backdrop for your story. This is a very nice song.  Keep it up."

"the story sounds like it truly came from the writer's experience - lyrics sound real and
conversational."
Great job !!

And some live action with lots of background chat, but sometimes it’s great to just get out there with an acoustic guitar and your rusty old voice and do it !
