I think you're going about it the right way.
Instead of writing for an existing bond wrote for a possible bond.
It's either this or that, then again it might be the other.

I can promise you a future of slow decline.

And there you have it.

I was sure I'd commented on this a while back, but maybe I didn't press 'post' - which always helps- or some mental blip occurred.

Anyway @Paulski I was blown away with your versatility on this one. Very impressive. For a start the production is multi-faceted and engaging. Your usual offering of charming narrative songs don't really allow you to showcase what you can do - nor should they - when you are looking to make a bold, dramatic impression production wise.

Then all that instrumental multi-layering sounds just great and is so well thought out. The unconventional meter and the unexpected vocal style all contribute to a very accomplished offering all round. Really interesting and a real treat to hear the final thing. Good one!
My latest novel: pls check it out!

‘Gavin & The Bodysnatchers’, a quirky comedy crime thriller. Easily found on Amazon.

This is great. Just didn't work as a Bond song for me.
Remember.... it's just my opinion. It doesn't make me right. Although i probably am ;)

@shadowfax thanks Kevin - you really are too kind! "Avante Guard" haha I resemble that remark  :D

@Rightly that's right rightly  :D In my alternative universe the James Bond movie is called "A Cut Above"  :D My bad!

@MichaelA cheers Michael - glad it worked for you - just trying something a bit different - always the risk of f'ing up  ;D

@dinnerwithgreedo Thanks for that - I thought the lead guitar sounded Bondish - but maybe not  ;D

Thanks everyone for listening and commenting!

Paul,
Different and in a good way.
Kept my interest all the way through including the trademark guitars.
Got hints at Link Wray, Neil Young and Whites Stripes.
