Another old tune but decided to record it in the studio with Liz. The thought behind is to a broken person wanting to get control back and feeling good about it.
Lyrics
She wakes alone in a world that is broken
She fakes a smile in the mirror everyday
She takes her time till her mind is awoken
But on the inside she's lost her way
Another day brings the wrong kind of tension
She fights the tide but keeps her head above the waves
Despite the scars her mind is returning
But now she's speechless with lots to say
Oh wake up your soul,
Oh wake up your soul,
Oh wake up your soul and take control
Oh wake up your soul,
Oh wake up your soul,
Oh wake up your soul and take control
And now she's free her pain is forgotten
She'll face the day her voice will now be heard
A show of strength sincere a survivor
And now she stand in tomorrow's world
Oh wake up your soul,
Oh wake up your soul,
Oh wake up your soul and take control x3
enjoy xx

You (two) really have a way with this type of song - again, a fabulous vocal and harmonies and really well judged pacing and atmosphere. Also like the second keyboard when it comes in later. Maybe a guitar or similar in the later choruses would give this one a bit of variation and welly for a bigger finale?
Nice work again.

Guys,
just come across this, firstly
Beautiful vocals on this, That lady has such a nice tone.
The track is nice, very wide, but that not a bad thing, great work,
The mix lacks a bit of brightness for me on my system, thats an easy fix.
really pro sound.
A very cool sounding track guys.

A very nice song, beautifully sung with good heartfelt lyrics. Enjoyed it .

Hi,
The voice is brilliant. The song is well composed, everything is well endowed: the piano accompaniment and the drums, very well mixed, just what is needed for this rather ballad song.
It's quite successful :)

Stellar vocals. I also like the electric-piano-on-the-beat treatment a lot in the verses (maybe it could take a holiday in the choruses though and let some other sound replace it, for a bit of variation?). The chorus chord progression and vocal melody are super - a little unexpected and the lift up of the vocals there really matches the lyrics at that point - it is almost 'gospel' there... a bit like a prayer, which matches the reference to 'soul'. Already a great track and I'd say has potential to be truly excellent with a bit more production / work on the instrumental palette.
