Hi!

I just started using Soundcloud. This is one I wrote a few weeks ago. The recording quality is the best I can do with the equipement I have at the moment, so sorry for the background noise...

Any feedback would be much appreciated  :)

Lyrics:

Met you on a highway
when I was at a low
I'd broken all speed limits
and you said: 'Wow,

What are you trying to prove?
We've got nothing left to lose
We might all just die tonight'

You pushed me a little further
along the road of my insanity
Broken all our limits, broken free
And you said: 'Hey

There's nothing we can't prove
There's nothing left to lose
We might all just die tonight'

What if we all just died tonight? (3x)

So remember
There's nothing left to lose
There's nothing you can't chose
There's nothing we can't prove

And you shouldn't
put anything aside
Let your heart decide
'cause we might all just die tonight

Greetings!
Stephanie

I like the lyrics, but I think it sounds better if it is more like a uptempo song. But that's just my opinion

Hi Stephanie,

I can imagine this song played with brushes on drums.  It's an enjoyable melody and I like the way the guitar holds the interest of the listener (that was certainly the case with me!) Your lyrics are well written, the vocal melody is strong and I enjoyed this song a great deal!

I'm looking forward to hearing more.

nice little song, sounds like your at the beginning of your journey as i am. I'd say your voice has very strong potential with that acoustic style. Equipment is expensive i know but i think once you have a little studio going you'll be well away. You could be like Jason Wick on here. 8)

Hi
I like this song a lot. Very strong melody. I agree that it would be nice to hear it played in a more uptempo style and possibly with some strong rhythm guitar to drive it along. I think it would make a good pop song. I hope you get the equipment eventually. However, it is sometimes better to start out with one instrument and make things more difficult for yourself. This will improve your creative writing ability. Good luck and keep writing!

Thanks for all the kind comments!  :)
Will try and add some percussion and a bit of piano and/or violins when I can do a better recording.

Greets!
