Liked this a lot, I don't know if it was the title but it put me in mind of the Velvet Underground.  Great harmonica part too.

Really like this a lot Dan

The only negative I can comment on is it's hard to decipher what your are saying , your raspy drawl is so cool but i would work on your diction to make the lyrics clearer

That aside the arrangement is beautiful and you play your instruments so well , the drum track is exceptional

You create a fantastic atmosphere in your recordings, it is so special

Well done  :)

This is great Dan. I thought it sounded quite professional apart from hearing the lyrics which only seems to be in the first half of the song. Nice one!

thank you all. i know that sometimes its hard to hear what i'm actually saying, but on the other hand i don't like a voyce stand out to much in the mix because to me it is just another instrument. but anyway i know its always better to post lyrics as well. about the repeating of some lyrics in the second half of the song, well sometimes i think a song is just finished, and that i should not say more.

Great atmosphere in this song and in your voice
very good, Cheff!

the title (and also the song a bit) reminds of "sister morphine" from the stones (?)

I like this song, it's understated and subtly arranged. I disagree with the others in this thread: I like that the vocals aren't pushed so high, I think it shows great confidence on your behalf to not have everything be crystal clear. I am quite hard to please when it comes to this singer songwriter stuff, I usually find alot of it too clean and bland, but I really do enjoy this!

fe :o ck!

this is brilliant!!

there is a CD?!

....

yes there's a Stonesy feel to it but also some Neil Young and i don't only mean the harp. the drifting vocals compliment the general vibe very well

kool!

thanks very much you all. for the ones who like to read, here the lyrics.

Your sister the heroin

Heroin sister, protected me and go
Oh how I've missed her, I gues now she knows
Cocaine brother, was just there in time
Just seem to bother, he threw me a line

Brothers and sisters, you know they’re there, they know
Your friends are the other ones, they choose you they show
But who loves you? Who needs you?
Your heroin, your sister will do
And your cocaine brother, wants more then another,
He sticks to your brain and you can’t get him out of there

Heroin sister, protected me and go
Oh how I've missed her, I gues now she knows

Hi Dan,

Enjoyable vocals as always and  the instrumentation knits together so well.  I've listened to this song several times now.  It doesn't have an immediate impact but I think that it reveals more of it's charm each time I listen.  It's very sad and this is evident in both the music and lyrics.  Well done and thanks for sharing!

Good mate. It's not Stones-y like someone said (apart from the sister Morphine-esque lyrics) - definitely Velvet Underground though.

People who are into this sort of thing will really like it.

thank you thedaytonariots.
wel i don't really care or its stones, neil or velvet. i dont hear that myself but as one of my songs have only a hint of the quality that these guys produce, im more then happy but it is not my goal in the first place.

thank you postmn,
you mean the electric or the acoustic?
