Hi,

I'm new to this forum, so please bear with me if I do something wrong. ;)
A few months ago I recorded this song - love to hear some honest feedback:

https://soundcloud.com/user-723778850/world

lyrics:

verse 1:
close the door to a world getting old
you follow new ways to find more
its not the same life holding hands with a phone

Refrain:

take it out once more unfolding a world unknown
take it out once more surrender all control
use it more
Verse 2

Take it away
you forgot to pay
the stains on your dress will remain
hiding alone carry your world on a phone

Ref:

take it out once more unfolding a world unknown
take it out once more give up ya thoughts control
use it more

Well - I though that this was fabulous. Great vocals, great guitar and superbly produced. It's also got great dynamics and atmosphere. Welcome to the forum  :)

First of all, welcome to the forum, @Andi :) This was a beautiful little piece! I loved the acoustic atmosphere and the electric guitar kicked in at just the right time before the refrain. Nicely done! :)

Hey Andi, welcome to the forum.

I think this is outstanding personally and really loved your vocal. Production is excellent.

I also took a listen to "Day" which again was great.

Fantastic.

Hope you stick around here its a great place.

Great vocals, harmonies are lovely, super guitars and production.

Couldn't help but think of Bill and Monica at that point in the lyric. But even that couldn't spoil it for me.

A top song.

Yo Andi.

Welcome to the forum. Man you believe in a dramatic entrance, this certainly made an impression with me.

A lovely song, superbly played and sung. Loving your vocals.

That Gretsch coming in and out sounds just fine. As I said on your soundcloud page 'Thoughtful, considered and tasteful. Superbly done'.

Hi Andi, welcome.  Yes that track is a lovely way to introduce yourself.  Love the languid mood and the production sounds very pro - not a bum note anywhere, and very well balanced.  The only bit I'd change is to not have it fade in the last couple of seconds - just let it reach conclusion and end - but that's a personal bugbear of mine.  Anyway hope you stick around with some more songs like this.  Pauly
It's all too beautiful.

Thank you to all! There was actually a longer version with a soft guitar solo which is 1 minute longer. maybe i should reconsider ;D
