Title: @-ing people (sorry if I spammed you)
Post by: PaulyX on April 21, 2018, 09:14:02 PM
Earlier I @-ed a lot of you in response to a track.
Was keen to say thanks for your feedback and had just found this new forum feature.
Then after sending I realised you'd all have got PMs because of that, and if we all @-ed each other to say thanks after each review, this place would quickly devolve into a spam factory.
So sorry if I spammed you!
Spam is back off the menu now.

Meh. Doesn't bother me. In fact, given the fact I don't have the time to read every single post it makes it easier to know which ones I definitely need to to bother with. ;)

I am finding the new @ tag feature really useful and what you are describing doesn't sound like spamming to me - alerting people that you have responded to their specific comment is exactly what it should be used for

Not everyone revisits a thread they have commented on so a little message saying you have replied is a great enhancement to the forum IMHO - so @ tag away!!!
