 HEY GUYS

this is something that we worked on some time ago
TORGNY  had the great music and sent it to me to see if I could
put lyrics to go with it, I sent him a some words
 and he went to work

a bullet right through my head
stand over me till I'm dead
cold stone but there's no name
so we keep on fighting to find blame

truths out there's no more lying
I knew this fire was dying
 you just wasn't thinking
 stupid nights spent drinking

 I'll learn to forgive
 I'll learn to forgive you

 do something say something
don't just stand there looking like
I'm the one to clean up this mess

 do something say something
don't just stand there looking like
I'm the one to take all the blame

so hard to watch you crying
at least there's no more lying
you stay and we'll keep moving on
 pretend there's nothing wrong

 hold on don't let go
 don't say you're leaving
don't turn around and walk away
don't leave me lonely like this

 I'll learn to forgive
 I'll learn to forgive you

 do something say something
don't just stand there looking like
I'm the one to clean up this mess

 do something say something
don't just stand there looking like
I'm the one to take all the blame

 I'll learn to forgive
 I'll learn to forgive you

Lyrics really fit the music Tony, good job. Excellent production job by Torgny too, very polished & broadcast-ready.

My only little niggle with this tune is the breakdown section - I really felt that it was a missed opportunity, almost like the production wasn't quite finished. A little solo, or just a shortening of this section would tidy it up nicely IMHO.

But a very enjoyable tune, and with lots of commercial appeal. Well done guys! :)

This is a fine production and broadcast ready like Tone has said.
Vocals and effects are top notch!
Thoughts: Seems a bit late in the cycle to change but I would look at shortening it to under 3.5 mins as it has no bridge or solo to keep interest. To nit-pick the lyrics are good but I wanted "mess" to rhyme with "blame" and thought the melody line was a bit too much like Sting's "Don't Stand so Close to Me" in places but that's probably just my twisted hearing.
Nicely polished work though!

Hey guys, this is a great collaboration, overall sounds great, loved the chorus. Singing is great, the lyric works well, and the backing track suits the whole feel.
Really good guys!
Cheers

Really nice collaboration Guys everything sounds great but i think at 4.33 the song is about a minute to long but great vocal control on the build up through the song really great listening.

Nice one Guys.

Great sound here...really professional finish to this.

Easy accessible lyric which works well within the frame of the song and good catchy song it is with a strong melody and an especially good hook/chorus.
Yeah maybe a more emphatic instrumental section before it comes back in, but this has the right feel to be a hit song.
Great work both of you.
Take it easy.

Tony,
Enjoying this alot. Good simple chordal progression, emotive voice suits the content. And BIG chorus.
Minor suggestion was overlong build to repeat chorus, i'd think I shorter this and fade a bit earlier.
Very catchy

I agree with the others about the production - it's superb. I think this is probably the best marriage of Benjo's lyrics with someone else's music and delivery that I've heard so far. Torgny has an excellent rock voice and delivers the lyrics as if he's written them. Very polished, commercial sounding piece of music which has some real balls to it. Excellent.

Hello guys and thank you so much for your nice comments!

Working with Tony was super! I asked if he had any lyrics and he just threw me into a giant lake of lyrics that he had! Such a creative and talented man! I hope there will be many Moore collabs between us.

Honestly, I don't have a clue why the breakdown part is in the song. It sounded like a good idea when we where "in the song" but now, a couple of weeks after, I don't like it all.  I Think that I wanted to get away from the "normal" song structure and get a Moore live Felling to it.
Well well, it is what it is and we all learn something everytime!  :)

Have a nice weekend y'all!

torgny & tony,
really nice soundmix and excellent vocals..great work
im trying to articulate what i feel about this..
words and vocals terrific throughout..
the second verse turns up the heat,  the urgency and passion, building into that terrific chorus and i think youve cracked it right there, by 2.55..
id be tempted to use the change sequence as a fade..
or build on that change sequence and come back in with everything youve got..
for me the change sequence slows it down and when you came back in the tracks lost the urgency and momentum
i mean no negative with these comments, i think its terrific..
great work chaps

i may not believe this tomorrow...

Hi guys,

I thought the track had a natural feel. The vocal sat nicely in the track and was performed with a sense of honesty, rather than someone just singing some lyrics. I was getting a mid/late 80s feel to the song. Don Henley, that kind of thing. Could imagine it having a polished video.
Not totally my thing, but very well done.
