 Good Morning Folks  ;D ;D

Hope you're all having a fine weekend.  Here's 5.30 mins of chill out acid jazz, with a little twist
of Brit Soul and just a hint of Blues, to help you slide into Monday with a smile ;D ;D ;D

It's an interesting piece of music, in that it's essentially just one note/chord.  Everthing just winds
in and out around that one chord.  You can play/sing anything you want over it, and it seems to
work. Caz heard it, and was inspired enough by the 'one note' story to come up with the lyrics.
What emerged is as follows  ;D ;D

 https://soundcloud.com/binladeda/barriers

                                                    Lyrics

 (VERSE1)
If there were no barriers
No rules
How would you move

If theres only one note
No keys
How could you choose

Whats holding you back
Whats keepin you in

Theres only one moment
Theres only this now so
Let go of your feelings
Let walls break down

(VERSE 2)
Picture the two of us
Oh I know you do
Why wont you make your move
(Free wills against the rules)

But lets not think too much
And lets not pretend we’re fools
(Ignorance is for fools)

Honey don’t hold back
What you hold within

Theres only one moment
Theres only this now
so just go with your feelings
let walls break down

Let walls break down
Let walls break down
Let walls break down

(BACKING)
If there were no barriers / ooh,oooh-oooohooh
If there were no barriers
If there were no barriers
If there were no barriers

-
If there
Ooh,  oow oow-oh
Yeah- ye-ye-ye-e-eeeah

Yeah, there are no barriers
Theres just the two of us

There are no barriers
Theres just the two of us

There are no barriers
There are no barriers
There are no barriers
No barriers

BIG thanks to Caz, who is a joy to work with, and has the voice of an angel ;D
and to Boydie for his generosity and silky mastering skills.  Hope you enjoy it as much
 as I do.

Peace Love and Understanding to you all xx
(and what's wrong with that ;D)

Ah ! The One Note song emerges  :)

This is some cool, laid back vibe guys. You've really nailed the feel on the head. There are some lovely little bits and bobs going on all over the place @Binladeda . Top quality vocals @Cazrolina

What a lovely laid back Sunday morning vibe. More please  :)

Applauds all round; a smooth, cool, laid back summer groove. The only thing letting it down is the weather. Excellent song all round and beautiful vocals from Caz, as ever. More to come I hope?

Top quality is this, you two!

Stumbled across it on Soundcloud and had to grab a look and see who it was...I thought it sounded fantastic.

A bit knocked out by it, I was. A perfect match. Can I come to the wedding?

Hi guys I didn't think that I was going to like this b'cause you mentioned jazz - not really my thing but this is a smashing little number - reminds me a bit of a Sade type song - will add it to my play list .

Usually would be to long but it just cruises along effortlessly

And just being one chord encourages a beginner like me

Yes ... I thought five mins would be too long....but am afraid it was too short.

Great collaboration, excellent production so smooth and great vocals.

Was listening to my best of Acid Jazz this weekend, and this track would sit amongst those tune.

Brilliant!!!!

I like this too.
I first read the lyrics. Really good.

I like the groove at the beginning, I couldn't guess which way it was meant to go.
 A good thing.

Vocals remind me of Sade a bit. Nice, sound professional.
But there was no surprise there, in the vocals. No interesting flaws.
The vocals sound like backing vocals, or accompaniment.

I don't mean to offend. Probably a taste thing.

Excellent production.
It's either this or that, then again it might be the other.

I can promise you a future of slow decline.

Don't eat the yellow snow

And there you have it.

Thanks guys, for your lovely comments.  You're all very kind......

For those of you who want more, we are working on something now that I
think is rather special....so watch this space ;D

@Rightly Yep, I think you might be right ;D .  I did have a lingering doubt that
it wasn't quite finished, but I have that with all my stuff ;D .  It was mentioned right
at the start that it was sounding a lot like BV's.  I know Caz wants another crack at a
lead vocal.  But we've drawn a line under it for now.  We might come back to it later
though.   Thanks for you positive comments, and your insight ;D ;D

Thanks again for taking the time to listen and comment.  You all have EXCELLENT taste ;D ;D

Guys,

Smoooooth,

@Binladeda great track vibe, think pompey mentioned, lots of interesting things goin on, Like it.

@Cazrolina You can't not love that smooth vocal, I only wish I had that much control.

While I dont listen to a lot of this, there are times when you just want to chill, kick back and have a beer on your patio or somewhere, this would fit the bill.

Great work guys.

Chilled out and hot all at the same time. Beautiful singing Caz. Sexy and soulful. Great collaboration. Sounds like the perfect match. It's been a few minutes since I listened and the vibe is still permeating the room. I feel very mellow. Thanks, I needed that.

What a superb piece, just love that intro really caught the wave, and i was right there on the Beach watching the gulls and the fishermen.

Beautiful singing @Cazrolina - just wonderful.

Thanks for something very special.

Wish I could produce like that...I'm gonna learn from this song. I had the feeling I wanted to put some Spanish guitar on it, not much ...

Clever lyrical concept and the one note thing really does make for a relaxmosphere. Not really my usual listening fare but lots of development in the backing and a definite Summer vibe. Very cool.
