I'd published Breathe Easy on Soundclound a while ago, but I never thought it finished. So I've added to it a second part called Fractured.

Breathe Easy/Fractured

Part 1

Your eyes looked to see where I was
Your arms reached out for me when I was lost
You found me in the rain and gave me life
You took me from the dark and you showed me light

I travelled on a road that lead to nowhere
Walked for miles and I didn’t know if I’d ever get there
I was followed by a shadow all the way
I was running from the night into the day

Breathe easy
Wrap your arms around and never leave me
Chase the night away and don’t stop dreaming
Never let the Devil take your hand
Breathe easy
Breathe easy

Part 2

Held so tight your hand in mine
Didn’t feel quite right to let you go
Unconditioned love no imperfection
Did I tell you that I loved you, loved you so?

Blinded, just couldn’t stop these tears
From falling, I thought we had forever
But all out futures ended here today
With only memories of love and of our laughter

I just want to hold you once again
You left me here alone with dreams unanswered
The keeper of my secrets till the end
You left me here alone and I was fractured

Breathe easy
Breathe easy
Breathe easy

I like the addition of the second part. It does seem to complete it.

yes, that's fun having those two separate parts
I can't remember hearing this arrangement in a single song before
they really compliment each other
It's either this or that, then again it might be the other.

I can promise you a future of slow decline.

And there you have it.

Hola @Welsh Steve
I rally really enjoyed your song, it has an atmosphere that I like very much, dark and warm at the same time and the arrangement works well but... Sorry if I tell you that when the rhythm appears, this part, at least to my perception, loses something? The change takes you to another color but it's just my taste... but our song is beautiful!

Hi, enjoyed it and the two parts come together. I think it would have been better if the first section had come in again for another round before the end, to complete the journey, so to speak. Your vocals have a nice quality to them, I thought of Crosby Stills and Nash when I was listening to them.

Nice!

The quality of some of the music on this forum never ceases to amaze me. Two songs rolled into one and it works really well. I like both parts equally. As has already been suggested, maybe the first part could return in some way for the ending. Otherwise there's nothing I can fault about this. I really enjoyed it. Great music. :)

This is great.. grabbed me from the get go.. I too felt it has a CSN vibe.. that guitar part is lovely.. and the vocals / BVs are gorgeous.. Beautiful movement into the second part with the drums bridging them..  This is such an interesting piece.. Fab!
