Wonderful vocal. Needed a bit more oomph in places and maybe a strumming guitar. This is a great tune.

Good luck and Merry Xmas!!
Remember.... it's just my opinion. It doesn't make me right. Although i probably am ;)

The lyrics, singing and production are excellent.
Musically, I think this would really benefit from a bigger melodic/harmonic contrast in the bridge and/or chorus sections.

Thanks for sharing and hope your Christmas is a hopeful one.

2 bridges! brilliant, I never thought of that.  I agree with the consensus forming here; i.e. expected a lift in the 1st chorus and I thought the last 2 lines were out of place a bit.
Otherwise though, fantastic song, fantastic singing and piano - the slow ones are the most difficult, well done & good luck

Very beautiful, haunting Christmas song. Love the vocal and the piano, lovely harmonies as well. Just one small thing, it didn't quite feel like it blended well, I guess it's down to the mix and maybe just to my ears...  ::)

All in all I think it's a beautiful song with a very original storyline  :)

Best,
Sonata
Feel the fear and do it anyway...

I thought this was absolutely GORGEOUS - both the writing and the performance!

I thought the track did have a bit of a build to it with the introduction of the higher vocal

Complimenting this with a build in instrumentation/arrangement would support this but I do not think it is essential as the track was strong anyway

There are some great ideas in here

I would personally open with lines 3 & 4 of the 1st verse as I think they are much stronger and instantly set the scene of the song - followed by lines 1 & 2

Just a personal thing but I thought I would "put it out there"!!

Overall though it was a gorgeous song, well done

Lovely vocal. Nice sentiment in the lyrics. Maybe lacking a little dynamically between the verse and chorus? Otherwise great song.  :)
I have no authority or standing here, only opinions. :-)

Hey deegeorge,

Beautiful song, beautiful singing.

I have one flaw which has been mentioned previoulsy, I really dislike the last two lines...

'So wish someone a happy Christmas by email pen or fax
But please make sure you spell it without the poxy x '

I dont think it flows well or sounds nice. I'd definitely definitely finish after '...There's nothing quite like Christmas to me'

Now, in saying that, I'm going to nail my colours to the mast! I think this is the best entry this year and one of the nicest songs I've heard on this forum. Yesterday I was going for habitats wreathe as the winner, which is really brilliant. But, I love the singing and simplicity of this song. Really beautiful (except the last line!). So, you are getting my number 1 vote. If this song doesnt win I'll eat my Christmas hat!

Good luck!
