I've obsessed over getting my song together like you wouldn't believe.  It's been both exhilarating and a curse.  I can't help but ask why? It won't ever be promoted.  It's simply a labour of love!

Today, I did about 5 songs live, one take, studio recordings.
My buddy will apply a bit if this n that. A minimalist.
I've no time to make a huge production,
 and I'm really into looking at new material right now.
I'll take the best of those 5.
 It'll be a different version of an older song / an older production.
I really felt like rightly, of old.  😃

hey guys i found this thread after seeing some people mentioning it on the songwriting reviews forum, I have a bunch of tracks ive been reworking, remixing and adding new vocals to recently and would be happy to join in if the competition is still going. I posted a track on sunday and read on the rules youre only allowed to post 1 a week so let me know if i can still qualify and Ill put a track up when im allowed ! cheers

His song will take centre stage until Sunday and then we'd love for you to publish your work on that day. It's ok to publish your song even if you currently have a song on the finished songs board. There is an exception for anyone taking part as it is good for promoting a vibrant forum. Hope this helps

Hello @ CK2020, by publish, I mean make public. Pop it on the finished song thread as detailed above. List the title of your song  and write (Old For New) alongside the title. List your song lyrics and any details about the songs history in the main body. Good luck

I'm currently re-working a song I did last year that I've wanted to "improve" for a long time now so... shock! horror!... but expect an entry from Sterix. o_O

At least this time, I'll have the benefit of not being deaf in one ear to work with!

Going well so far...

I am however going to need a little help with one part of it. I have a "radio announcer" part... quick-talking, American; you know the drill. I've recorded this part myself but... let's just say "terrible" is an understatement. "Down-right embarrassing" is putting it mildly. 

Anyone willing to lend their vocal skills (or at least willing to give it a go) to recording this part, PM me. It would be a shame to complete the song without this part but I'd rather not have it in than have me mangling it. Which would be a pity as it sets up the scene for the song (it's about a serial killer).

I've surprised myself with this. I normally don't have the patience but I've spent half the weekend (the first half was re-installing my computer and re-installing all the software after a Windows update absolutely brutalised it!) re-working this pretty much from the ground up. I'm determined to finish it.
