Latest tune, on the heavy side so definitely not everyone's cup of tea (or maybe anyones..:)
Wrote this about a sad event I Witnessed as a Child, watching with your neighbors family as they
lose their home to fire in the middle of the night is not something you forget. But the Fathers happiness
that they all were safe overshadowed any material loss they suffered even in that moment. it was a good
life lesson to learn.      https://soundcloud.com/user-410026182/what-really-matters
any feedback or suggestions welcome , Thanks!

What Really Matters?!

It’s 2:am in the morning
Lights flashing in my eyes.
The silence of The Night disappears
With, the sound of Children’s cries.

Fire rages before me , I see
A father hold his family tight.
Thru Tears he softly tells them
You’r all that really matters tonight .

As years go by with loved ones gone , I still can see his face
The tears he shed wasn’t for the loss , All for what was saved......what really matters,  what really matters

Do we think about it?
Do we compromise?
Why does it take a tragedy, for us realize What really matters.... what really matters, what really matters, what really matters.

It’s 2:am in the morning
A new borns cry fills the night,  Nothing else matters in this world.
Only the Love they will give this new life......what really matters
What really matters..

Inspiring lyrics, haven’t listened yet to the song, but being a real family man I feel that mans relief.

Not too heavy for me, cool rock track.

Nice clarity in the production of the vox, drums and guitars.

Liked the string part but this is the only part I thought could do with a little production tweaking to let it sit slightly more naturally in the mix. Just a slight synthetic feel compared to everything else. If that’s what you’re going for though, ignore me.

@Cowparsleyman - Thank You, things ended well for them even adding another child
to the Family.

@Yodasdad - Thanks for taking a listen & your comments!
do you hear a little more ambience for the String part?

@Shadowfax - Thanks man! I like your volume setting :)
I wish that was my voice but the vocalist is Chris Sligh
on our tracks. Thanks for checking it out, Appreciate it :)

Yes...those strings come pretty close to stealing the show.

Super sound all round...the guitars are probably right on the money for the genre, though a little modern-sounding for a dinosaur like me. Tight playing though!

Singer has got a great voice and uses it really well too. Nice work!

That guitar and bass riff is so simple but so great. I like the light and shade throughout, really interesting touches and the way it ends on a contemplative and not a big and crashy finale. Lyrics are fab too, especially the chorus. Great track.

Hi, really enjoyed this, the strings/synths were a nice contrast with the heavy guitars, love the tone on them. Great vocals and backing vocals too.Very good, I like a bit of heavy.... 8)
Cheers

@PaulAds -  Thanks Mate! Im still not sure what Genre it is....some kind of Rock :)
                   Appreciate the kind words!

@adamfarr - Yeah I took simple to a new level :) , somewhat out of necessity as I
injured my hand at work just when I started this. so I worked it around
The simple bass pattern I did on the keys and added parts from there.
Thank You for Your thoughts on it, really appreciate it !

@Jamie - Glad you liked the contrast, its exactly what I was going for.
Thanks for taking a listen and your thoughts Jamie!
