This is really nice - great lyrics, great story and wonderful vocals

Recording sounds pretty good, a little dated with the synths but good non the less

It does appear to be missing a kick drum which kinda makes the snare sound like its out there all on its own

I'm pants at mixing drums but there is a kick drum in there somewhere I promise  I'm not happy with the mix on this but I'm having to use my headphones right now as I'm living in a hotel so it's not ideal.

Strong writing here. Love the harmonies that are subtle enough to sneak past at first.

The chorus doesn't come in quickly no, but this is only an issue if you are expecting a "single" from this. As a general song/album track the format is good. The vocal is great, lyrics are lovely, chord sequence. Definitely one to be proud of
