I'm taking a more minimalist approach to life and as such have decided to get rid of a load of studio gear and replace with them with a small number of choice items. First up I am looking to get rid of various mics and get a single high end acoustic guitar mic.
Before I stick it on ebay, I thought I'd give forum members a chance to to grab a deal.
Prices are without postage; I won't put any additional cost on top of the postage cost and you can let me know what method you want (standard, tracked etc). All items to be posted from France, to wherever you want :D
Mics
2 * Shure SM58 (http://www.shure.com/americas/products/microphones/sm/sm58-vocal-microphone). The ubiquitous live vocal mic. I'd prefer to sell these as a pair since they live together in 1 carry case ;D. These are around £80-100 new. I'm looking for £100 for the pair + pouch. Also comes with ! original box & instructions- Shure SM57 (http://www.shure.com/americas/products/microphones/sm/sm57-instrument-microphone). Again around £100 new. Will take £50. Comes with a pouch.
Golden Age Project R1 Mk3 (http://www.goldenageproject.com/microphones/r1-active-mkiii/). A really fantastic active ribbon mic at the price. I've recorded it on vocals and guitar with great results. The Mk3 is the version which has generated all the rave reviews and is around £220 new. I have all the original packaging, carry case, mic cable. £130. Sold!- 2 * MXL 603S (http://www.mxlmics.com/microphones/studio/603/). Stereo pair, with mic clips but without original box. I have used them for X/Y pairs on acoustic guitar. £40!!
Preamps
- Golden Age Music PRE73 Mk2 (http://www.goldenageproject.com/outboards-old/pre-73-mkii/). Neve style 1073 preamp which has garnered great reviews for the price range. I paid £280 for it new. It seems to be selling on amazon for selling on amazon (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Golden-Age-Project-Microphone-Pre-Amplifier/dp/B003V8WC54plifier/dp/B003V8WC54) for >£300 Again, all original packaging. The plug is an EU plug so I'll throw in an adapter if required. £175. User reviews (https://www.gearslutz.com/board/reviews/712103-golden-age-project-pre-73-mkii.html)
Cables
I have various surplus cables. They are all in working condition.
Unless otherwise stated, these cables are FREE (you pay postage)
- XLR - XLR, approx 3m
- 3 * guitar lead, 1.5m
- 3 * guitar lead, ~5m
- 2 * guitar lead, >10m.
- 4 * Male XLR - TRS (i.e 3/4" balanced guitar jack), 1.5m
- 2 * Female XLR - TRS, 2m
- TRS - TRS balanced 'snake' with 8 connections. This is precisely the same as this (https://www.tho.mn/gb/the_sssnake_sk4225_snake_chinch.htm) but with TRS jacks not RCA. Never been used. - £6
- 2 * Male XLR - RCA, 1.5m. These are joined together
- 2 * Female XLR - RCA, 1m.
- 2 * RCA - RCA, ~1m. (joined)

Update:
Turns out I do have 1 original box for the SM58's with the original manuals aswell.
I've also put individual prices on the cables since it was causing confusion (same price for 12m vs 30cm cables :D)
I'll get some photos up of the remaining stuff.

Pedals all sold. Surprised no-one has jumped on the PRE73 or the Shure mics yet!

Stuff is moving along!
I have heavily dropped the price on the MXL603 pair (nice for stereo mic'ing acoustics) but even more so on the cables.
My huge amounts of cables (I have even more non-audio related ones) have been an annoying barrier to my hopes of a more minimalist life style, so have made the majority of them totally FREE!! I want rid of them all. Ive already sorted out the few cables I need into a nice little modified wardrobe :D

If I had money Ram, I would have bitten your hand off on the 57 and the mic pres. Also it's likely that folks have most of their disposable tied up in xmas this time of year. Jan might be a bit more productive on the sales front. How you find good homes for all your gear though.

My hold up is the international shipping. Although I don't often have a need for more than three mics (which I have), on occasion I might be able to use 6....

Ahh yeah it probably isnt the best time for it. But we are having a huge clearout so there we go!
I'll post using whatever method you can find...so if you can find a cheap method, relative to bring them or whatever.....
