PS I have started going to an open mic in  jazz club recently and there's a big love for musical theatre and jazz there... your stuff (and particularly this) this would go down brilliantly!

... so if you're ever in London of a Thursday night,  you should let me know!

I could give it a shot if you really want? :)

Thank you kind people for listening and commenting!

@pompeyjazz - cheers John - very kind of you  ;D

@Wicked Deeds - thanks Paul - so glad you enjoyed it.

@PaulyX - thanks Pauly - I only used a click track for the sections where there are drums - can never get the timing right for drums unless I do  ;D. Cheers for the nice comments.

@digger72 - thanks digger - production comments mean a lot coming from your learned self in that area  ;D

@beckylucythomas - Becky!! How R U - long time! Hope you are still making music - you were sorely missed 'round these parts  ;D Appreciate the kind words on this one. Oh, and "stride" piano is a technique where you chord with your left hand jumping between the bass note and the chord continually. Done it since I was a kid  ;D I'd love to play in a London jazz club - but be careful what you wish for  ;D ;D

@exfairy - I'll PM you..

@Binladeda - cheers bin - never been called elegant before, but hey it's 2017..  ;D Still haven't got to your track yet - but plan to give it a listen soon...  ;D

Well, you can't have enough piano.

A song on the piano, about the piano, why the hell didn't I think of that...damn you Paulski.

Very accomplished. Nice piano, nice lyrics.

This is back to your characteristic sound. I've been trying to put my finger on what your style reminds me of or who your influences might be and there was a moment in this when Barry Manilowe leapt out at me.

Am I close?

Paulski, what a moving song! The lyrics are careful about that goodbye that always overwhelms and the piano takes you by the hand for that continuation of life that forces us to follow it. Your style? It can remind many others but I would call it as "unalterable".

Be well

Hello mate,

You have already had lots of great feedback. I actually really like the guitar!  :o haha! Different strokes for different folks I guess eh?

This is a beautiful song mate. To me it honestly sounds like you are covering a classic. I can’t say better than that. :D

I love the chords u choose. Beautiful playing & singing (just a little pitchy going into the first chorus I thought
But didn’t notice it anywhere else mate. :D)

Well done mate!  ;D
