One of those numbers that just appeared last week. Had been listening to some Isley Brothers stuff so took some influence form them - Thanks brothers  :) Hope you enjoy the ride  :)

We're planning a soul revolution
Ain't no time to hide
Everybody around the world
You can't run and hide

We've been searching for peace and justice
That's the bottom line
Come along all you brothers and sisters
Won't you come onside

Oh it's been a long time coming
Fighting for the right
Now's the time to shout it from the rooftops
We're dynamite

What we want is sweet sweet freedom
All around the world
Harmony for everyone
For all those boys and girls

M8
Oh Oh – We've waited far too long
Everybody, everybody come and join in our song

Break

We're planning a soul revolution
Ain't no time to hide
Everybody around the world
You can't run and hide

We've been searching for peace and justice
That's the bottom line
Come along all you brothers and sisters
Won't you come onside

M8
Oh Oh – We've waited far too long
Everybody, everybody come and join in our song

The Isley Brothers..well you certainly can't go wrong there! Which is probably why I love this. This brings out the best of your gritty voice. I love the way the brass/backing vox/hammond all weave in and out. One of your very best songs John.  :)

Really like the bass sound and playing here. It's really got a relaxed swing about it. The m8 is a great change up. Lovely organ sound too. Quality never goes out of style.

Excellent track John mate, just thought the organ was a bit quiet and the vocal was a bit too loud...I've yet to hear a genre you cannot get the better of..super work mate.

Hi John, It would take too long to list all the good things about this song, production and arrangement. Highlights include, the BV's, The horns and the organ. Great bass sound too! I can't think of a genre that you've tried and not aced it...

Remarkable!

Bass and brass section smashing it, particularly liking how you’ve restrained the brass so you don’t get bothered by that old midi brass non authentic sound. Sounds pretty real in this instance.

The ‘soul revolution’ refrain is pretty catchy too backed up with cool backing vocals. The mid break is very pretty!

Really suits your vocal sound this sort of stuff, you’re a natural grooving’ soul monster. 😉 You just need a 10 piece band to take it live now. 👍
My latest novel: pls check it out!

‘Gavin & The Bodysnatchers’, a quirky comedy crime thriller. Easily found on Amazon.

Thank you everyone for the feedback. Just a little note on the brass. @PaulAds put me onto a wonderful sound kit from the New York Brass a couple of years ago. The samples do need a bit of pitch and timing adjustment and chopping about and that can be a bit tricky but what a great authentic sound. Glad you’re digging the Soul Vibe as this one came together really quickly

What a great little number this is.

You groove this one out like you were born to do it.

What a wonderful talent you are.

Hi @pompeyjazz
I'm getting a flavour of "Love Train" from the lyrical theme but obviously your melody and lyrics are original. I love the keyboard work - it has a real 70's vibe musically. Top quality work here. Envy is a terrible thing :-)

@pompeyjazz  Great laid-back vibe to this one. Lovely bass and the horns are fantastic.. Ooh and tasty organ too in particular… Well it’s all top class..  More quality, John… Don't know how you manage to produce so much quality so consistently! In awe!

Hola @pompeyjazz
That bass drives me crazy!!! Good sound, dense and deep in the mix. I like the plane that your voice has and the style that you have given to the arrangement. Very good result!!!! Muy buena!!
