After dutchbeats 80's tune from the other day I thought I'd dig out one of my old tunes with an 80's feel. It's just about as poptastic as I get, New Orderish - without  Hooky's bass though.

Bring back the 80's - thats what I say!   This song is very New Order-ish, but so what?  As long as there is not an obviously plagiarism of melody or riff.  My bad habit is sometimes writing songs that are a wee bit too similar to Phil Collins (horror!).  Also, bear in mind TV companies are always on the look out for 80's music - and they are not going to pay royalties to New Order if you can deliver an almost equivalent sound for a fraction of the price.....

My criticism is on the chorus lyrics.  When reading the lyrics, the rhyming is a bit too much - feeling, meaning / reason, season - although to be fair it is less noticeable when listening to the track.   

Record an album of 80's synth music and I will buy it !
