Anyone seen anything like this before?
"hello how r you I want to REPOST your track https://soundcloud.com/caliamoko/how-did-they-get-here-1 to my page: soundcloud.com\conlytune (1500+ followers). Please help me a bit as well: 1. Login to this game: goo.gl/T8bJFy 2. Send me your gaming nickname. And I'll do the REPOST for you"
I am mainly just curious, as I have no interest in logging into any games. Unless, of course, it'll get me hundreds of listens and maybe a few deal offers. ;)

Er, I've been re-posted a few times but never with conditions like that. Log in to a game? How can that be relevant? I'd steer clear of this myself.

It is phishing and spam - avoid at all costs!

I've gotten a request for re-post. The same thing with the login request and all that. This is how I responded:
"Hey Betty,
I am totally flattered! Thanks for asking but, actually I never meant for that track to be public. It's just a rehearsal recording.
I do plan on doing a proper recording, though, sometime soon, and you are welcome to repost that version. Right now, however, I am just using this one for a reference tape.
Take care, and thanks again.
Todd"
I had no intention of logging on to anything.

Well, I figured as much, but it was new angle I had never seen before and I was curious. Thanks for the replies!

Basically they want your email address Vicki...then your inbox will be filled to the rafters with nonesense!

Hey Vicki,
I just got the same request to login to a game in return for a re-post on Soundcloud...
Hey everyone,
is there some way can report these peeps d'ya think?
-
Yeah, I got another one yesterday. It must be a new plan to scam scheme. I imagine they can be reported to Sound Cloud and those members would probably be removed. Stuff like that, though, once the people (companies) who run scams learn about the new technique, they all jump on the bus. It'll never be possible to catch them all. Better to keep educating people so maybe some day no one will fall for any of that stuff. It won't go away until it no longer works.

i had this too. i think these posters have been removed from Soundcloud.
