Hey all,

Wrote this song a few years ago, have had quite a folk influenced upbringing with parents running a folk club throughout my childhood and still to this day so quite a lot of what I write has a bit of a folky vibe. This should be a bit of an uplifting song about looking out for someone despite not being there. Be great to get your thoughts.

Hey there, why are you crying
Is it all you see
I’m old, and ready to go
Raise a glass to me
I don’t need another day
To know just where I want to be
I’ll be, there in your dreams
One day you will see
I’ll rage all day like the open ocean
Making sure that your life’s ok
Clear a path for your long progression
Holding back all the stress and strain
Hey you, deep in the gloom
Let the light surround
Go outside, you are alive
Get out of the ground
You know it’s a hell of a ride
So jump on board and hold on tight
I’ll be there by your side
I won’t let you down
I’ll rage all day like the open ocean
Making sure that your life’s ok
Clear a path for your long progression
Holding back all the stress and strain
If you fall, I’ll be in the way
I’m there to stop you falling
If you cry I’ll blow it away
I’m there to stop you falling
If you fall, I’ll be in the way
I’m there to stop you falling
If you cry I’ll blow it away
I’m there to stop you falling down
I’ll rage all day like the open ocean
Making sure that your life’s ok
Clear a path for your long progression
Holding back all the stress and strain

Nice guitar playing, and your voice suits it great. The chorus is cool, I didn't expect it coming from the verse but it was a unique touch to the song. Reminded me of a sailor tune or something haha.

I love the guitar instrumental and the vocals! It really goes well together. It's something that Sting might sing or write (I think)

Great lyrics and harmonies! Nice performance too. There's stuff that you could do in terms of more instruments and production but I think keeping it simple really works.

You have a really nice voice! It has a "full" sound or something. This is not the music genre I'm used to listen to but I really like the atmosphere in your song. Great work!
