Hey all!

Would love to get some feedback on this track.

https://soundcloud.com/micky-shiloah/clouds

Clouds is a song about getting high. Not necessarily on drugs--but on anything in life that takes you to a "cloud nine" and makes you happy -- and the desire to stay there. Any form of happiness is a drug that we, as humans, crave.

Lyrics:
I wanna live forever
I wanna build a life anew
I wanna make it better
I want the sun for me and you

Still up at five in the morning
Waiting for my turn in line
But I get stuck I can't find the warning
(So I'm) Searching for the party line

And if you wanna smoke we can just go down (go down)
If you wanna get high we can start dancing on the clouds
Let's forget about life and the run around (run around)
Stay with me in the stardust

Let's try
To live before we die
In love surrounded by all the lights (the lights)

Chorus (Oh, oh, oh...)

If you feel you're coming back
I'll give you some more
I wanna feel like I'm floating even though i'm on the floor

I want our eyes to meet
And our hands to touch
I want to feel the beat when my face gets flushed
It's kicking it in to gear you're getting the rush
Let's never end
I fucking love this stuff

Chorus:
I don't want to leave this cloud
I just want to stay here for forever
For ever and ever
I don't want to leave this cloud
Wanna stay here for forever
For ever and ever

Chorus repeats

Thanks guys! Any feedback is greatly appreciated

lovely vocals & bouncy electro pop with a  definite cowboy feel....cowboys with keyboards?  electro cowboy pop?  omg nashville  must be  outraged! :)... there was not a guitar in sight
anyway it got realy big  & turned into quite a anthem ..there were so many 'woahs' at one point  it was like you got the whole woah choir of womaha on it ;D
it is very catchy & poppy with a extremely happy vibe....i think im ready to face the day! :)
there were times when the mix got a bit full like there was too much going on & everything sounded a bit muffled?
Tell me Im wonderful & I ll be nice to you :)

Hi Mutrins,welcome to the forum.

The song reminded me of the feel generated by Dream Academy in their tune Life in a Northern Town. I like the dynamics of the song, but agree with tinam on parts of the song sounding a bit muddy. 1.23 to 1.40 is the first time, then it repeats. The 'doof doof' kick drum overwhelms the rest of the track. It sounds like one of our local SuperProds beating a Lambeg drum, like it was the pope's head!  :D Anyway,it's just a mix thing and could be sorted,I'm sure.

Overall,a fine bouncy, wake you up,driving in my car on a summer day, type song. Very enjoyable.  8)

You got some real pop production chops there! Really nice work.

The song is really good, with the "oh oh oh" acting as a great hook. The vocal arrangement and production give it a real contemporary feel.

The only this suggestion I would make is to mix up the bassline a bit which it a bit predicable, just banging the root note on every beat. A little movement or rhythmical variation would be nice.

But I think you should have no problems getting a sync placement for something like this.

Very fine work, congrats.

Tom.

Yeah....liked it ;D Very pro sounding.

Bouncy and poppy with a very catchy chorus.
A few good hooks in there.  Just lacking that
Killer hook to take it to the next level.  But
that's what we all look for.......and it aint easy
 to find ;D ;D

 Excellent work...

Hi Micky. You've got a very professional sounding song here. Very modern feel. It's sort of bouncy up to date bubble gum pop with a splash of soda cream thrown in. Welcome to the forum btw  ;)

Cheers John

Well what a happy, bouncy song to start the weekend! I feel better about cleaning the bathrooms now. Great little pop number with hooks all the way through it, I can imagine it being picked up for synching, just as Tom said. Definitely wouldn´t be out of place on the MTV mainstream...

Can´t say too much about the production because I´m listening on crappy speakers but...your laugh at the end of the swear line did sound like you felt you were being a rebellious little scallywag. I´m sure it wasn´t your intention and it´s only a nit needle in a hayful of fantastic songcraft. So, really, really good and looking forward to hearing more! Welcome!

Hey there....this is a nice, smooth, relaxing sound.
Not to keen on the "F" bomb...........but, it did, however momentarily, raise the energy levels......got me to listen with more intent (not sure that was a good thing, however).

Good luck.....
