Hey there Rightly............this is VERY poignant for the today we live in.
But as you know, we, the people, are operating under two flags of truth.
My only nit is that this is vague, and takes no side. Courage??
But, as a writer, I understand "vague" makes it's own point.

I appreciate it.
That might be a genuine fault of the song
but then it's about expectations
I really didn't have a fixed point of contention to begin with.
I started with a vague idea to make - an alarm for my mobile, a bit later the idea of a danceable lament.
I began to like the song because in writing I got to consider some positive elements like, Passion, the spark, backbone, knowledge and courage.
I asked an associate to listen to a demo
She took issue with
"greasy ballerinas" and "you can smell this too!"
Considering her reasons, I decided she was short on humour and I'd keep those phrases.
Before I knew it the song was pretty much done.
