Hey, feel free to comment and give critique on my songlyric "beginning of the end". Melody wise and etc, how I imagine the song so far is with a sort of Lana del rey feel to it, combined with a James bond feeling/element to it(Skyfall, die another day etc)

Complete silence
high tension
emotional violence
not to mention

fear all around
not knowing when
it will go down
well, here's a hint
just count to ten

it's the beginning of the end
(the end, the end, the end)
it's the beginning of the end
(the end, the end, the end)
it was always meant to be
all ends, even you and me
it's the beginning of the end

it been on it's way
before the start
I didn't want to say
but I always felt it in my heart

like a ticking bomb
without a wire
like a loaded gun
just waiting to fire
so count to ten

it's the beginning of the end
(the end, the end, the end)
it's the beginning of the end
(the end, the end, the end)
it was always meant to be(dont you see?)
all ends, even you and me
it's the beginning of the end

cut all ropes
save yourself
let go on hope
catch yourself

this is a war
this is war
it always was
before we even counted to ten

it was the beginning of the end
(the end, the end, the end)
It's the beginning of the end
(the end, the end, the end)
it's headed for the end can't you see
it was always meant to be
all ends, even you and me

it's the beginning of the end.

Hi AnnaLina,

I like the short bursts of lyrics and the longer lines in the chorus. Can differently hear a menacing drum beat and minimal music during the verse.

My only problem is you have three verses and three choruses and I don't know what "it" is. As film music it would work as the "it" would be visual, as a stand alone song I think you should show the listener what "it" is.

Is "mend" a typo for "meant"?

A suggestion for the first verse, I think "do not mention" leads on to "fear all around" better.

Feel free to ignore me if you disagree,

Keith

Thank you so much for the comment Keith! I get what you're saying the lyrics probably need some more specific and personal lines to define what "it" is!
"mend" was definitely a typo for "meant"- thanks for pointing it out!(English is not my first language;-)))

this is one of those songs where you read the lyrics and you can imagine how you think it sounds.
I definitely get james bond, like the way it builds, have to say I would love to hear this.

Like it a lot. To me "it" meant the situation of having arrived at the end of their relationship. Although I'm not sure why the character felt it in their heart from the beginning - didn't they start out with any hope? Perhaps he or she is with an unpredictable or unstable person and this is what worries them. Intriguing stuff.

For some reason I don't really like "Complete" as the first word. How about "Total silence" (you have other t's in verse 1). Or "Awkward silence"?

Hi Annalina - The lyrics are good and you obviously have an idea of how it is going to sound when put to music so that's half the battle !

Looking forward to hearing this
