Love at first sight? Myth or a romanticised notion?
Love sustained for a lifetime? Myth or a romanticised notion?

Some say yeah, some say nay. Others offer anecdotal evidence as proof.
Who know, but one thing for sure, whether such possibilities exist or not,it won't stop folk looking for them.  :D

Maybe this is a song examining the human condition, the hopes and expectations of lurve,or perhaps it's a cynical piss-take? Who knows. Humanz iz complicated. ;)

Thanks once again to Boydie for mastering duties.  :)

I promise I will always be there
Hand in hand we'll walk down this road
At first sight I'll know who you are
Sharing this life one day at a time
I'll protect you from what this world may bring
And I will try not to break your heart

Forever
Together
Whoever you are
Forever
Whatever
No,no,never break your heart

Promise me you'll always be there
Holding my hand when I stumble and fall
A first sight will you know who I am?
Will you share this journey with me?
Forgive me when I get it wrong?
And please try not to break my heart

Forever
Together
Whoever you are
Forever
Whatever
No,no,never break your heart

Uplifting tune! Loved it :)

"whoever you are" part of the lyrics - right on spot! "Le condition humaine" ;)

Are you the singer? She/you have a really fresh and clear voice.

The production/mix is great too. Maybe the acoustic guitar is a little to amped, but I am a pianist so I might be biased :p

If I had a car I would put songs like this on repeat and vanish in the horizon

Have been listening this to a while before you posted it on the forum Skub. It's a lovely piece of country rock. The vocals are superb and I love the tele sound. Great piano and arrangement. No nits from me whatsoever. A great tune :)

skub realy!..I think you are embarressed to have written a soppy love song & are being macho about it!

I know this song somehow? have you posted it before & forgotten  at your advanced age? ;D
that is a super melodic intro its absolutely gorgeous! with perfect vocals as always
this sounds very american country... real nashville stuff & of course its realy polished & super catchy ...
that piano intro is a killer & I think you should have made more of it & had it in the middle as well as the end ...
you do some tasty little mark knopler style guitar licks & even throw in a hank marvin impression at the start ….. have you thought of doing a complete act  doing guitarist impressions ? ;D
Anyway its a fabulous song you silly old romantic you :)
Tell me Im wonderful & I ll be nice to you :)

Thanks for taking the time to listen and for the compliments! The singer is Fiona,we work composing/recording as a four piece under the name Vance Magill.

C&D music
I'm very non ambitious when it comes to promotion,I love the creation process, which is probably just as well, since our stuff has met with a rush of indifference from radio peeps.  :D Ta for the comment.

Cheers igg,any comparison to Linda R is a big compliment!

Ta John, glad you liked it man.  :)

Many thanks Sandeep.  :)

Ha!  :D
The song is a joint composition effort and one almost discarded, until we hit on something that allowed the various parts to work as a whole.
I love Martin's piano playing,it inspires me no end, glad you liked it too.
As for my guitar impersonations,I do that every time I play! I unashamedly steal everything I fancy and adopt it as my own. Aye R a plagiarist.  :D

Thanks to Boydie too for the final master, sorry I forgot to mention you in my initial post.

Awwww Skub you little softy, you remind me of the bit on my niece's wedding video when my brother started crying.

Superb song, easily the best I've heard from you. The piano is gorgeous and the chorus is beautifully uplifting. You should get the keys to Nashville for this. Can't add anything more as it's all been said above. Great stuff.

Hey skub

What a lovely song - nice clean arrangement and the piano! Oh the piano! :)
It's a great song as is - but I wanted to hear some male harmonies like Shania does in hers later in the song. But that's small potatoes - nice work!

Very nice easy listening country song. Really great piano playing, and also the guitar in the intro is just lovely.

Not sure I get the reason why the first and second verse are almost but not entirely completely alike. Is  it the perspective of two persons, then maybe use a second singer and make a duet out of it?

Nice one. :)

"Humanz iz complicated"  :o I have to agree with that, but life is so simple, if we just follow
our hearts :) This song is very well written and arranged :) and mastered, by the master himself,
Boydie  :o Who's singing the lovely vocals :) I loved the song :) :)

Wonderful! Great vocals, terrific guitar, brilliant song - right up my street (I must have missed a meeting - I didn't you were a country picker / singer / writer). Loved all of it.

I've listened to this one a few times, right up my street this kind of thing and it's a beautifully executed example of the genre.

Particularly lovely piano interjections on the opening, they add a real touch of class.

I have only one gripe, being the chorus. It just doesn't quite launch for me. It seems hard to sing because  there are a limited number of notes and they seem to just highlight the chord changes. I think if there was a line or two in there with some more quick fire notes, it would help it along.
Ultimately I prefer the melody of the verse (which is really lovely!) and the chorus seems a little but of a let down after it.

But beyond such nitpickery, it is a beautifully realised bit of country rock. Quality work  :)

Tom.
