Hi guys,

I'm making a video for the song that Michael and I have made about the comet.

Its all ready in the project but every time I try to render it out it takes hours (about 4) and then fails ???

I wondered if anyone has any tips/advice?

I'm using videopad and am trying to render to .wmv in 1080p resolution.

Cheers

Hab

could it be a memory problem? Either not enough hard disk space, not enough ram or not enough cache/page file?

Make sure you have enough space, close any other programs, background programs & unnecessary services and try increasing the page file limit?

Other than that, not sure.

oh, try first to do it with a lower resolution, just to check that you can actually do it. If you can do it at low res, but not high, that certainly points to a memory problem more than other stuff..

+1 on reducing the resolution

Do you really need it in 1080p  :o

Bearing in mind it is likely to be on YouTube, and therefore people's PCs, tablets, phones etc. ( and therefore not huge TV screens) I think 1080p could be overkill - is the actual content 1080p?

I would try something much smaller to test of it works and then gradually increase

I can't remember the "sweet spot" I found - I think it was something like 640 x 480

Good luck

All sorted now guys thanks, it was an issue with one small video clip that it kept freezing on ??? (too many layers I think)

The video is now live on YT and the finished songs board.

I think I got it done in 720p btw..
