Sam, welcome
Hi get the bluesy feel, it rolls along nicely. Got a delta blues meets jake Bugg.
I think the vocals could be a little higher in the mix, especially on the verses, maybe up the key or use a capo? And also its helpful if you want comments on the lyrics to post them either on your forum entry or on soundcloud.

Thank you!
I totally agree, it's in the key of Fsharp so I was thinking of changing it to the key of G, so have the capo on 3 rather than 2!

I like the guitar work here Sam especially the runs.
The lyric sounds fine to me though I keep hearing that 'who are you to judge me?' running through my head as I'm just about to offer up my opinion!
I think it all needs tightening up a bit as I was getting lost a few times which made the song drag more than it perhaps should have done. It may be a bit too long without introducing a different part or break to give it some added interest or it may just be the fact that it needs to be tightened up which is making it seem longer than it is. If that makes sense!

Just my opinion of course and who the f*** am I to judge?
Take it easy.

Cheers honestly your feedback really helps, I was thinking of adding some sort of bridge with a key change of some sort, just to break the song up a bit so it doesn't drag on as much

Great work on the blues guitar! I'm seriously impressed!

And the songwriting is really good - really strong chorus in particular, I thought, very catchy.

You've a nice voice. Maybe a bit too nice for the blues... but I know you're v young... it still sounds really good. If you could work on getting a harder edge into it, i reckon it'd be even better.

I'm not sure about the doubling of the vocal... and if you got rid of it, you'd also get rid of the difficulty of trying to sync up all the words in both vocals, so it'd sound instantly tidier.

All in all, very impressive writing and performing for someone so young - well, it'd be impressive for someone of any age really - well done!!!

Welcome to the forum.

Really nice Sam lovely guitar style all you need is to get your vocal out more in control but that will definitely come, listening to some of your other songs you got style Man.

Great to hear your songs   8)

Hi Sam, good voice, and like the guitar playing. The chorus has a nice melody too! I agree that a bridge and or a key change would lift the song and make it even better.
Nice one!
Cheers

Hi Sam,

You put "lively" in your tags - i think that describes this perfectly. Lively modern blues.
Works well. Sounds fresh.
I too think the vocal could be a little louder in the mix. I found the vocal style interesting, a little different from what i'd expect in bluesy stuff, and certainly preferable to that Bugg stuff and all those fake voices folks seem to use these days.
Maybe change in the middle somewhere just to break it up.

But well played.

Cheers,

Digger

Good song, very strong chorus that most people can relate to.

I was hoping the vocals were going to get a little more forceful and passionate for the last chorus!
