(Hm, I hope that name caught enough attention... Maybe I should change it...)

The challenge is simple. Write and record a song with a whistle solo (as in, someone whistling).

If people want, we can make this a competition, in which case I propose the following judging conditions:
Appropriacy of the whistling (it would sound out-of-place in a thrash metal song)
'Catchyness' (do we all find ourselves whistling along?)
Effective placement with accompanying sounds (does is sit well with a riff? Is it over a lone piano? Is it by itself? does that work?)
Message (Does it add to the message of the song or help create the atmosphere for the message? Maybe it's for contrast a-la 'pumped up kicks')
Notability (is the whistling a memorable, outstanding part of the song? Contrast being 'just sounds like filler)

Anyone interested?

Hmmm. Challenge. Like.  :P

I do like the sound of this but I am rubbish at whistling. it comes out very none whistle-like.
I still might give it a go tough because I love the idea of this challenge.

Do you know any adept whistlers who'd do the solo for you? :P

I'm probably going to bump this after the Vday competition has been entered and judged by the way. I don't want it to be colliding with any other forum 'events' as it were

Haha Nooms :) I love that Robin Hood animation. I was hoping it would be on over Christmas so I could record it.

I'd forgotten about the whistling in that song though. Thanks for reminding. No one will outdo either of those clips haha
